The Oathbreaker's daughterly care

The Oathbreaker's Daughter: The Dragonknight Trilogy Book 1 (The Dragonknights of Nahrea)i really enjoyed this although it could ve definitely done with another look over by an editor spelling and grammar mistakes Fantasy Science Fiction Thriller I have read a few reviews on this already after it s initial release A couple five stars already Anyone who has seen my reviews for this Author s books knows they all have 5 stars Well obviously this one is no less impressive Not sure what one reviewer was talking about with certain comments on grammar spelling or plot issues It read smoothly with no confusion for me. The Oathbreaker's daughterboard Anyway I am so excited and to say I had been anticipating the release of this book is a gross understatement Jenna is the female main character that we all look for in recent fantasy novels Strong stubborn at times a go getter attitude never giving up bad a fighter but soft and emotional and driven for the right reasons at the same time Then add in the bad a supporting females and a couple swoon worthy males you have yourself and Adult Epic Fantasy Not smutty but lots of cursing and some sexual tension if you re paying attention All in all it was a blast to read and the second and third book is highly anticipated by myself Can t wait Fantasy Science Fiction Thriller When I say I devoured this book I could not put it down and read it in just a few hours time today I Love Jenna s story and the action and dragons This book has really no spice which is nice every once in a while I can t wait for the other 2 books in this series comes out I want to know where Jenna s story goes Fantasy Science Fiction Thriller Enjoyed this book so much the daughter of a dragonkight wants to follow in his footsteps Jenna is determined to become the first female to be part of the kings elite group She trains hones her skills during tryouts of course she is found out Not going to give away any but she truly a bad ass fighter Can t wait for the next book in this series If you enjoyed fourth wing you will want to read this Fantasy Science Fiction Thriller Great story needs serious line editingIf the story had been less interesting I would not have finished this book due to the numerous errors Some chapters need than 20 corrections These errors cause readers to stumble and require rereading to clarify the author s intent Issues the author need to address only one space after final punctuation marks is the trend now further vs farther roofs not rooves dived not dove avoid began to sank sunk drank drunk minimize passive voice was were and tighten POV if the POV character can t see or feel it the reader can t know about it either and watch for misplaced modifiers and unnecessary redundant details in lengthy sentences Made up example that is similar to the author s unwieldy sentences The sun sank lower as it set in the western sky below the horizon rippling and hot Or Her tears leaked over her lashes from the middle of her lower eyelid Ugh There are some awkward physical descriptions of beards and eyes However Jenna Thom and Laina need description There are also comma errors missing apostrophes hyphens several typos and spelling problems where vs wear Also annoying are the awkward word choices decrepit leaves and paragraphs with too much mundane information how one climbs out of a window move by move is less relevant than what happens once outside There are some inconsistencies dragon riders can t marry but husbands can tryout to be riders There are several other head scratchers in the book due to detail errors Despite these problems that interrupted my enjoyment of the book due to turning on my editor brain the story is excellent and the plot well paced I sincerely hope the author seeks additional professional editing before releasing the next book in his series The story deserves it The main character is spunky and has serious perseverance She is a mix of determination and empathy The main and secondary characters have dimension and distinct personalities There are great action scenes and wonderful sensory details that make the settings immersive There are PG 13 elements in the book profanity violence toward women blood and guts but not too much time is spent describing the various messes after the fighting brief references to whores sex drinking and a few unimportant characters die I would highly recommend this story to older readers who enjoy fantasy books with fighting than relationship focus AFTER editing Fantasy Science Fiction Thriller
