I'm the grim reaper, vol. 1k19 In addition to the mystery and the reaper motifs this story also has a really edgy and dynamic aesthetic art style A lot of how the characters and their powers are designed reminds me of FMA Pride s monster form meets RWBY If any of that appeals to you I d definitely recommend picking up this first volume English where is that happiness I was promisedThanks to NetGalley for an e arc in exchange of my honest review the character art is vastly different from what I was expecting from the cover and not my style but the background art was amazingwhenever it would be included and not just be grayscale Remembering this was a Webtoon first made a lot of sense for the art style though The plot is interesting enough for me to want to continue and caught me off guard a couple times but it is moving extremely fast where a lot of the tension is just swooped away I do really like the philosophical moments especially being right next to silly little moments that help bond the characters so I definitely feel like this has potential and I will keep reading but my hope aren t super high for where this can go right now English I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review This was a cool start to a graphic novel I like the idea that the main character does not remember how they got to be such a bad person to where they were sent to hell in the first place but it seems like you will slowly learn about that as you go This volume also ends in a big cliffhanger which is good for publication purposes but bad for a reader who just want to know the answers The characters were interesting or what their punishment will be just pick a target and do the job.
