Who You Grow IntoLovely imagery I could see the fog the garden the leaves and the newt I could feel the rain and the mud in the muck boots and the food It s like she knew my great grandmother I loved it Amy Le Ann Richardson I really enjoyed this book I could easily picture the forest walks cold creek water and acorn gathering and their tiny hats Amy Le Ann Richardson A collection of poetry that makes the reader hungry Not just for the food described within but also for a connection to the earth and the food we eat The poet so clearly loves the land and its bounty she and her family putting so much care and attention into what they grow and harvest There is a reverence for the beauty both the light and the dark of the forest and the circle of life and seasons For someone like me who doesn t get out into nature nearly enough reading these poems made me want to make time to do so Amy Le Ann Richardson
