spirit to a grumpy deputy He had a devastating loss and she is not sure if she will break through But her spirit brings happiness to the deputy and he realizes he has a new lease on life Jenna Brandt A sad story where Mark Deputy Sheriff lost his wife and son due to A car crash Christie moving to Sweet Bloom from LA CA because her mom passed away These two were made for each other I can sympathize with these two especially Mark it s hard to lose the love of your life A great read with a HEA Jenna Brandt Great Christmas Series I m so enjoying this series and getting to know all the characters of Sweet Bloom I do enjoyed Mark and Christie s story These two needed each other and are perfect together Throw in a puppy and a sweet kid and you get a captivating read that I read straight through Gift For Her Grumpy Deputy Love in Sweet Bloom 6 Christie and Mark are both facing Christmas without their loved ones but they tackle it in opposite ways She s pulling out all the stops even if she sheds a tear along the way He tries to hide away from it all but his job requires he be at the town events There is plenty of small town drama and tension through his job to pull the couple apart but is there enough to pull them together This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author Jenna Brandt Oh Mark it took me a bit but I feel so bad for him Tory live in a small town and have tragedy strike you is like having two strikes Small towns can rally around a person and they can gossip til the cows come home pushing a person away Christie is an absolute miracle to this small town She is the new teacher in town and is struck my Mark s grumpiness she makes it her mission to bring joy into his life it was a very solid sweet story of learning to move forward forgive yourself and ignore town gossip I enjoyed how the struggle was real and the friendship was one that had to be worked on Watching them get to know one another was inspiring for both of them Jenna Brandt This was a cute Christmas story We fall back into Sweet BloomTexas for this dual povclean romance This story is part of a multi author series but can be read as a stand alone I love the opposites attract trope in this story While personality wise Christie and Mark are polar opposites we see them connect from a place of loss There are definitely hurdles that both have to overcome but together they can Even though this book has some serious moments we have Doodle to provide some comedic relief Jenna Brandt There is nothing better than reading a sweet Christmas book in the heat of the summer This book had some sweet moments and some teary moments as well Deputy Mark Phillips had a tragic loss in his life that happened at Christmas This tragedy has completely stolen his Christmas spirit and in fact has completely stolen his joy in life He is known around the small town of Sweet Bloom as the Grumpy Deputy Most of the town has given up on Mark which is sad in and of itself His walls seems insurmountable for those around him. Christie Wilcox has recently moved to Sweet Bloom She is teaching at the local elementary school She is an outsider so she has not been embraced by some people in the town She has suffered a loss as well which makes this move all that much harder for her However she has chosen joy Once she meets Mark and learns of his past she makes it her mission to make him smile She sees walls that can be broken down and vows to knock them down. This sweet romance will tug on your heart strings as these two characters try to get to know each other The local gossips in town are not helping the situation either You will fall in love with Christie s new puppy Doodle Doodle is adorable and causes havoc and chaos everywhere he goes but he also brings sunshine and smiles This book will make you wish for Christmas and all of the happiness that comes along with it It is another great installment in the Love in Sweet Bloom series that will leave you smiling. Thank you to the author for this ARC I am leaving this review voluntarily Jenna Brandt There s nothing like a holiday book in June I loved feeling the Christmas spirit the last 2 days This was a beautiful book about loss love friendship and healing I had such a great time getting to know Mark a. a Deputy Grinch and Christie Mark had some loss to over come and it was beautiful to watch how Christie and Doodle The Golden Retriever dog helped him heal This is part of a series but it reads as a standalone I would definitely recommend this beautiful holiday story that will make you heart happy and make you have some good laughs along the way.
