AI Gone Rogue is a near future sci fi but also a losing innocence but still forgiving story and a morality tale Let s start out with the good I enjoyed the interactions between the detectives and the AI The AI had Asimov s rules and prevent it from taking life so I was wondering how it gets those pesky detectives off its back without killing them Well one interaction was kind of clever and even a bit funny when I think back Meanwhile the detectives can t always use automated cars nor phones etc So that sort of new cat and mouse game was the most enjoyable The novel was also quick moving never staying with one character too long or going without action Possibly except for the beginning when I felt the author could have greatly summarized the exposition of the MC s early life.
