Thriller The Sibyl conspiracy reddit L Broogle is the pen name of a currently serving member of the US Intelligence Community Slightly information can be found in my approved for public release biography at my website site_link site_link A very enjoyable read to me it was a good mix of National Treasure and Enemy of the State The Sibyl Conspiracy A Conspiracy Thriller The Sibyl ConspiracyThe cover is okay but tends to lacks the thrilling aspect of the story Quick synopsis Anna Booth is given an assignment by Dr Kline since she had the audacity to question him in class She uses her boss s computer Director Phelps since hers keeps crashing She inadvertently hits a button that sends out a message to individuals who monitor break ins concerning a certain book She has no idea what she has just triggered Agent Logan who is taking the same class is thinking of asking Anna out on a date All that changes when she starts her car and the windows fog up Logan knows something is amiss and finds a metal cylinder on the pavement This will lead to one of the wildest chases I ve ever read And all of this is over a book George Washington wrote and preceding Presidents added to Think National Treasure and you re not far off Pros I will say this Mr Broogle loves the topic and is well versed in the current technologies of surveillance equipment Why Because of the depth he goes into what I m assuming are currently technologies available to FBI CIA NSA Homeland Security the military and a host of other black agencies the public doesn t need to know about That part of the story was fascinating Character development was spot on for the most part Agent Logan and Ms Booth were believable to a point Alistar Fairbanks a true mover and shaker of world events due to his family s massive fortune is well done Johnathan Ross is the somewhat a typical assistant to Mr Fairbanks Do your job and don t ask any questions Cons Description description description description description and description It became monotonous and over the top It is fine for an author to set the table and give the readers a good idea what surroundings the characters are in but that s it In this case many of the scenes could have been cut in half instead of detailing every item of furniture or innate objects in a room Read like a screen play Perhaps that is the author s motive for such detailed descriptions The same goes for conversations Why did the author feel it necessary to describe every emotion the characters were feeling when they spoke It became annoying to say the least IE his voice trembled like a mouse caught in a hurricane I didn t know mice talked Superfluous Here s one on description Johnathan shifted his weight resembling a small child in need of a bathroom Unwanted and unnecessary Chapter 7 came across as unwanted filler On the converse Chapter 26 was very exciting I had a hard time believing that it would take six teams of hired professional assassins to deal with Anna and Logan That was a bit much Punctuation Here we go again with missing words wrong tenses and words capitalized that should be There are Thirty six of those unique issues that need to be cleaned up Overall it s not a bad read but could be so much better by cutting out say thirty percent of the over top descriptions and constant commentary of how the characters deliver their dialogue If you re a fan of surveillance technology you will truly enjoy this tale Three Stars The Sibyl Conspiracy A Conspiracy Thriller
