I am a huge fan and lover of anything and everything Anne of Green Gables When NetGalley offered up a review copy of the special edition version with mementos I leapt at the chance to grab an early copy The forward was a sweet acknowledgement of so many children s love for the Annie of Green Gables tales but also includes a grown up adult perspective There are additional documents listed at the end of the digital book The documents include newspaper articles and an appendices The appendices provides information on the letters and mementos scattered throughout the the hardcover version of the book That s the only problem with reading the electronic version of the book The replicas from the story are not included in digital format I would have liked to see everything included I m sure they are splendid.

Book anne of green gables summary This edition is a beautifully formatted and sure to be an inspiring treasure for Anne fans The introduction by Barbara Heller explaining not only her own love for orphan literature especially Anne of Green Gables but also the life of the author Lucy Maud Montgomery I could easily see how her difficult childhood inspired the book and I had no idea she struggled with mental health and died by suicide Also surprising but in a much better way was how prolific her writing was Montgomery not only wrote the Anne of Green Gables series but hundreds of short stories and thirteen other novels I wish the ARC I received showed the inserts that make this book a unique and interesting edition I would have loved to see the map of Avonlea the Exhibition Program and letters Thankfully there is a notes section in the back where Heller shares about how she did her research on the additions like her historical recipes that she gleaned the cordial recipe insert from.
