Dune: House Corrino #1 By Brian Herbert
Dunefest winchester bay
My rating is rather low because Frank Herbert despite being an amazing SF author is no better at posthumous collaborations than other mortals For those of us die hard fans of Dune we have to remember that Herbert senior only wrote 6 dune novels and we are deluding ourselves to think we can magically discover . Dune trailer My rating system Since Goodreads only allows 1 to 5 stars no half stars you have no option but to be ruthless I reserve one star for a book that is a BOMB or poor equivalent to a letter grade of F E or at most D Progressing upwards 2 stars is equivalent to C C C or C 3 stars equals to B or B 4 stars equals B or A and 5 stars equals A or A As a result I maximize my rating space for good books and don t waste half or of that rating space on books that are of marginal quality 35 Excellent joy to read 35 I m usually hard pressed for reasons to rate anything in the Duniverse under five stars I have but it s not my automatic rating I was so excited to see this in my holds pile at the comic store because House Harkonnen had just ended and I wasn t expecting another series so soon This issue picks up where the last issue of House Harkonnen ends and it s just as good as always I love these characters and this world and it s so much fun to keep reading about and connecting with Leto Kines now Chani and all the rest even the Baron whom it s always fun to hate The only downside is that this is apparently 1 of 8 and not of 12 like Houses Atreides and Harkonnen were 35
