25 Dead X Men 2024 4 An issue weighing if the ends would justify the means especially without a guaranteed optimal ending Dead X Men 2024 4 This mini series has been entertaining enough but ultimately it seems inconsequential as the main action happens in Rise of the Powers of X and Fall of the House of X Perhaps that s an unfair criticism but I like for my stories to be momentous At the end of the day I have to deem Dead X Men skippable and that s disappointing It s a fun enough read though Dead X Men 2024 4 So the big dramatic splash page for this issue was about each member of the team explaining why Xavier s plan to kill a child version of Moira was bad Some arguments were stronger than others Cannonball s point that he has no guarantee that he ll end up with Smasher again in an alternate reality so his son may cease to exist Valid Nobody really expected Cannonball to marry this newer human character let alone already have a kid with her So yeah It is pretty unlikely that they would end up together again It is an interesting philosophical question about whether it counts as murder to make a child un happen through time travel However some of the other arguments were worse A couple people shuddered at the prospect of killing a child Again seriously Moira is a reincarnation consciousness that has lived 10 lifetimes at least one of which lasted for 1000 years She Is Not A Fucking Child Their big moral argument is that it is offensive to kill a child body with a 1000 year old consciousness inside it O kay While it s nice that this issue addressed Dazzler s inconsistent immortality we still don t actually know WHY Dazzler is immortal It came up decades ago in New Excalibur and we have never gotten a clear answer since. Book dead men's secrets I love Rachel Disappointed that she is mostly serving as the information hub in this issue but at least she has a position of importance Dead X Men 2024 4
