NOT REALLY ROMANTIC NOT EROTIC EITHERThere are 2 supposedly erotic stories in this so it s hard to rate both as one Doctor Doctor 1 Doctor Doctor 2 Doctor Doctor 1 Two people who are opposites but purportedly madly in love One does a disappearing act sans explanation and barges in 7 years later acting like nothing has changed like he still owns the person he abandoned just because he put in a lot of work for him He doesn t even give his ex lover the freedom to make a choice doesn t even have the decency to open with an apology he just straight up assumes he can reinstate himself in that other person s life because that s his deranged idea of love and respect and a healthy relationship and so everyone must just conform to it Uhm Wow I can tell this was trying so painfully hard to be romantic and it could have been but the way the story went about it It s just so utterly ridiculous it s so completely insensitive it s cringe worthy Everything is so contrived and weirdly over romanticised even the toxic behaviour that I m not gonna lie it s creepy AF Then there s the hard sell Fritz worshipping ad nauseam every other friggin sentence feels like excerpts from a crazed Fritz fangirl s diary it honestly felt like an iron hand was forcibly smothering my head into this Fritz simping bucket supposedly filled with never ending Fritz goodness when it s really just a load of gunk because really Who does that to someone they love Who even has the gall to just drop out of someone s life go completely radio silent for almost a decade and then come back without so much as a proper explanation but immediately demands to be treated like a hero who deserves a reward Of course Nathan just welcomes him with open arms because what Fritz did is totally normal and not an arseholey thing to do at all Right uh huh very believable in an episode of the Twilight Zone maybe The writing was okay for the most part if not a bit too flighty and vague at times and littered with non sequiturs I was willing to suspend my disbelief to give the plot a chance at first but then too many things just went so wrong with this I don t know how anyone in their right mind can possibly find it romantic or even erotic The moment they started going down on each other my fight or flight instincts were screaming on red alert if I were in Nathan s shoes I d be bolting certainly NOT flattered by what Fritz cough narcissistic psychopath cough is doing Since when has piling on the guilt tipping emotional manipulation and gaslighting to coerce someone you abused to jump into bed with you first thing after 7 years of inconsiderate absence a turn on Apparently to someone like Nathan whose brain is so polluted with lust for Fitz there s no better foreplay So no I m sorry I m all for excessively romantic love stories but this was just too off the rails mental for me Now if this were a horror story it would make for an amazing one that I m sure of Doctor Doctor 2 Three college students decide to fool around to relieve some stress They discover things about themselves and each other This was so much better I found the characters interesting and relatable and not two dimensional or cardboard like those in the first story After a while though the writing style got boring to follow this of course is down to preference I m sure there are others who will find it to their liking but it just wasn t gripping me enough to keep me immersed There were a lot of repetitive phrases and confusing mid paragraph topic jumps among other things the askew formatting did not help either the multiple POVs were jarring than engaging and there were too many lulls of meandering internal monologue in between the action that it repeatedly killed the momentum. Kindle Doctor, doctors near Still I think this one makes for a better romance and erotica than the first so I give it 2 stars for It s OK according to Goodreads rating system though it s not something I would fancy or go out of my way to read but I think that s mostly due to the storytelling execution and not because of the plot per se.
