Book skeleton man 8 5I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by this one especially considering that it was not what I was expecting When I first read the summary especially about how Evie s meant to be a street smart street rat I really expected her to be tough and I can take care of myself I don t need no man ish. Evie has been on her own for a long time on the streets of the space port As she is a scavenger she rummages to find things she can sell as well as food that is thrown away that she can eat She sees someone that is killed so she stows away in one of the pallets that go onto a wagon that is going into a mostly merchant wagon train that is going to travel under the guidance of S kal S kal likes to do these so that he can visit his brother H zim who was put into jail even tho he is innocent He has a few years until he gets out Tomlin is S kal assistant majordomo Usually the wagon train doesn t take settlers but this time they do S kal finds Evie and takes care of her A lot of stuff happens and Evie has some good instincts that she tells to S kal I loved this book I think this is my fave one of the set of the series Plus I get to see some of the characters from The 7 Brides for Alien Brothers series Tomlin is awesome I swear he practically can read minds It makes you wonder lol Sue Anne is a riot there is one part where I almost fell out of the bed Lol This book has a few scary parts and a few teary parts and a lot of giggly or laughing parts I love how the author makes some things not what they seem so they just freak you out Lol I can t wait for the next book in the series.
S'kal booking 5 stars S kal How the Aliens Were Won 4 Gleeful Goblin Review I really loved how much depth there managed to be in the backstory of these characters especially our FMC who at 19 has been surviving very barely on her own for 3 years on the streets and disguised as a boy for safety The inciting incident is witnessing something she shouldn t in town having to leave everything she knows stowing away on our MMC s wagon train and eventually being found out as a stowaway and woman by our older MMC The age gap isn t so much the focal point as it is a reason for being inexperienced on the part of the FMC and an avenue through which our MMC is able to comfort and protect her I m a sucker for hurt comfort tropes so I absolutely loved this dynamic and was really touched by this scene shortly after FMC is outed and is now being given fresh clothes by MMC Here See if there s something in here which fits She took it cautiously as if half expecting him to snatch it back then opened it carefully The first outfit was similar to what she d been wearing the night before only clean and well made a simple pair of pants and a shirt The other was a dress an ordinary cotton gown in pale green with tiny white flowers but she stared at it as if it were a ballgown then stroked her hand carefully down the fabric It s so pretty she whispered Then it s yours I m glad it pleases you He expected her to pick it up at once but instead she reached for the pants and shirt I thought you liked the dress I do but I haven t worn anything like that for a long time Not since my father died How long ago was that he asked gently Three years She d picked up the shirt and pants even though she was still staring longingly at the dress It was safer to dress like a boy after that You re safe now I won t let anything happen to you He knew it was a rash promise but he didn t regret it when she flashed him a quick sweet smile I know Then wear the dress he said gruffly surprisingly gratified by her words.
Kal penn book tour san francisco When things do kick off into Steamyville it s a fairly slow but steady ramp up given FMC s almost total lack of experience BUT there s some very fun practice toy action which was chef s kiss I really dig this book and I feel like tone wise this was a bit like a steamier and alien filled Firefly style space Western 5 5 Stars.

Book skeleton man This time up we have S kal the wagon master who has a tendency to help those in need In fact it s kind of becoming his thing I mean there was Mary Tomlin and now Evie He s also determined to stick by his brother while he serves his time in the Port Cantor prison Knowing these aliens I have to believe that he really didn t do it but he s in a bad place mentally and things aren t looking rosy for the big guy S kal showing up whenever he s in town could very well be the only thing keeping H zim from losing all hope But that s another story for another book methinks Whoops got a little sidetracked there Let s just say that S kal is good at stepping in when people need him As it turns out Evie needs him in just the right way He makes her feel safe and after 3 years on the streets scavenging to survive that s important but he also makes her FEEL THINGS While S kal might think he s too old and jaded for someone as sweet and innocent as Evie she VERY MUCH DISAGREES And THINGS HAPPEN So many things.
Skalvi school element A few unsavory characters a possible plot against the alien former soldiers turned farmers steamy kisses a long journey wherein two people get to know one another VERY well a dedicated assistant a male who is starting to think about settling down and a lady who absolutely trusts the big green wagon master the moment she meets him Well after her initial fright Good times Kelly Reading the Paranormal S kal How the Aliens Were Won 4 Love these books As ALWAYS I enjoy a trip to the ranch and farms of Wainwright In thus story we see S Kal the former soldier turned wagon master of all wagons from Port Cantor to other areas of Cresca He is in charge of getting the people animals goods and merchandise to the outer cities Along with his faithful assistant Tomlin his expeditions run smoothly Evie is a street urchin who sees the wrong thing on the wrong night She has been living on her own since her father passed several years ago She is barley surviving On this particular night she is literally running for her life In one of the warehouses along the water she hides in a wagon that is going out of town Perfect What s not perfect is how her hiding spot is absolutely awful Paced in along with barrels of salted fish I m sure you can imagine a hot covered wagon on a hot covered trail with nothing but the clothes on your back Awful Later that night when her bladder can t wait another minute she realizes how stupid an idea this really was This book is a very easy read and I love how the farm is filling out and I also love reading about this beautiful world with its beautiful scenery Wonder if this was the way Wainwright thought it would all turn out S kal How the Aliens Were Won 4
