Always being greedy and wanting double pov I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review The Librarian and the Mechanic I received this novella as an ARC read and am leaving my own honest opinion about the novella I am continuously amazed at how fun Brianna s novellas are I am captured by the writing style immediately and the content follows right behind it I loved Joel and Mallory This novella follows the connection between two 30somethings in a small town He is the traditional blue collar car mechanic and she is the local librarian He comes to check out books she falls in love It s an adorable meet cute novella written in third person which is not traditionally my favorite.

This little novella packs a punch Normally when I read a novella it feels like there s things details character development that s a bit lacking I don t think that s a bad thing it s just a consequence of the format. The librarian and the mechanicx book review But not The Librarian and the Mechanic The author fit so much slow burning plot character development and hotness into these scant pages I felt like I was reading a full length book I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily The Librarian and the Mechanic 3. The librarian and the mechanic book review 5 Sweet spicy novella little bit angsty some misunderstandings on both sides some trauma from past relationships from both sides with a slow burn romance Yep it s a novella with slow ish burn between main characters but still satisfying They are both over 35 years old and both divorced and I loved that I might check the other novella in this series It sounds interesting This novella is fully written in her pov I would have loved at least 1 2 chapters in his pov as well this is me but I didn t mind this at all Coming in at around 80ish pages it was a super quick read 4 5 stars for me I would have liked a little spicy banter between the characters but it was really good 3 5 for spiciness The Librarian and the Mechanic Short quick read but not lacking in spice or plot Boy do I relate to Mallory Quiet shy stumble over my words hate making eye contact I loved Mallory and Joel Great characters and character development Got just enough background for both characters and why they are how they are with relationships And got to love a small town everyone seems to know that Mallory and Joel have a crush on each other except Mallory and Joel My only negative I wish the story was longer The Librarian and the Mechanic Quick short story romance to get you out of a reading slump The Librarian and the Mechanic

I loved this book It s so sweet and heart warming but fret not for there is plenty of And yes library stacks have a cameo Bancroft did a great job of letting the characters grow separately while also letting them explore their feelings for one another. The librarian and the mechanic book 2 Joel was a wonderful sweet and adorable MMC Who also happens to be gorgeous and good with his hands I would just love to be besties with Mallory She is funny smart kind and caring and not afraid to get a little wild Oh and she loves books What s not to love I was impressed by how much detail and depth Bancroft was able to put into this novella It is part of the Dash of Desire series but considering I didn t read the first book and I wasn t lost I think you re ok to read them out of order The Librarian and the Mechanic Was fortunate to receive this novella as an ARC Overall I enjoyed it I don t read a lot of small town romances but I couldn t pass this one up A librarian and a mechanic Yep I m into that Anyway it s was a cute read over all The story started off a bit slow but picked up pace about halfway through The characters worked so well together but it felt like the story wrapped up super quickly Regardless if you like small town romance or if you re in a reading slump and want a quick read then I d recommend it The Librarian and the Mechanic Loved this short but hot story about Mallory Moran the librarian and Joel Foster the mechanic Mallory had moved from the city to the small town called Honeysuckle where Joel ran the repair shop Every Friday Joel would come in and return the book he had and borrow another one one Friday he borrowed a romance book which had been the one she read with her book club and it was a steamy one Both Mallory and Joel had big crushes on one another and it was quite funny to read about how they behaved around one another Mallory had left the city to get away from an awful marriage and divorce she also had to deal with panic attacks that were from things happening in her childhood Joel had been married and divorced and his ex had come to see him Mallory had heard that his ex was back to win him back and she was so disappointed They continued to see each other both of them wishing that they could be together Well surprise surprise eventually walls were broken down and the steamy time between them in the book stacks was so hot I loved how gentle Joel was with Mallory after she told him about her past and the reason for her panic attacks This is going to be one of those books that I will read time and time again I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily The Librarian and the Mechanic I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this novella from Brianna Bancroft and I am so happy I did I usually don t read many novellas but it was such a refreshing change of pace to read this If you re looking to take a break from longer books or just as a palate cleanser between books I highly recommend this novella The main character Mallory is in her mid thirties which in the romance community is a nice change of pace and relatable on so many levels She works as a librarian in the library in a small town Shy timid and recovering from a toxic relationship with her ex husband Mallory mostly keeps to herself However the town mechanic Joel sends her senses into a flurry and she becomes a babbling and stumbling mess around him Joel visits the library at the same time every week for a new book Mallory can and does set her watch by it One day after book club Mallory is suddenly stranded with a broken down car on a very untraveled road As they are thrown together for than a short library visit the tension begins to build between Mallory and Joel With the tension though comes the complication of Mallory s insecurities and the lack of communication between them Can Mallory overcome her past and go full steam ahead with Joel That s for you to find out A cute love story about overcoming your past with some steam thrown in this book is perfect for an afternoon read Sure to leave you fanning yourself and wanting The Librarian and the Mechanic The idea of a librarian having some fun is what got me interested in this novella Then we have a mechanic not afraid to get his hands dirty in ways than one aaand he s into books not afraid to dive into romance too. The librarian and the mechanicus meaning The writing style was nice and it really worked on building up the characters in the first part of the book The tension between them was there in the air you could cut it with a knife When their love moment got to its peak it was where it all kind of fell off the track for me It felt as if there were some bumps on the road and it disturbed my focus a bit The moment where they opened up to each other felt a bit rushed I really liked the story till that moment and it kinda shifted me from it which bothered me The characters were changed a bit at the end and it seemed as if we were missing a chapter or two. The librarian and the mechanicy book I loved the theme of the two souls finding their way back after their breakups divorce Was it something new No But it is fun and sweet.Overall one of the better novellas I have read lately..
