In the dusk of Hellas the shadow of Rome began to stretch its dominance Arete of Syracuse had lost her father and her beloved city Following his last wish Arete embarked on her odyssey to stop the strange malevolent forces behind which controlled the Roman Emperor Nero Guided by a determination in her heart Arete traveled to the fabled city of Oraiapolis to find a mysterious Teleios the perfect woman who was rumoured to be the living Aphrodite Along her journey traveling through different villages and cities she fought against ferocious creatures and forged unbreakable bonds with a diverse cadre of companions each carrying the weight of their own life in their hearts What will transpire throughout their perilous journey that will shape their destinies And what evil forces would seek to capture the Teleios for their own sinister ends You will get those ancient Greco Roman shits but nothing is historically accurate Anonymous Reader Teleios Flaw is Perfect It takes a while but it s an interesting story with three heroines and it s a deeply allegorical tale that I really need time to chew on and how Arete is fundamentally all about power reclaiming what is hers and yet it doesn t work or even look the way it does although I will never want to live in Orianopolis at all English The story is well written with prose that is straightforward and easy to understand The constant time jumping and shifting of memories among different characters in the story creates a somewhat confusing narrative The ending presents a surprising twist that explores an opposite extreme of eugenicsThe romance s plot mainly focuses on one of the side character This story involves the classic love at first sight trope Spoiler Alert Overall this book is fun to read My favourite part is when Petosiris the oracle tried to use the hermetic idea of as above so below to explain quantum entanglement This truly had enlightened me with a well written ending P s The main character set out on a quest for revenge is this revenge or education Well it depends on how you judge it English The author should go back to school and learn some basic English English This book was written in a way thats hard to understand and confusing at times I enjoyed the characters and world created but the grammatical issues made it hard to read at times I believe the author will definitely grow and I would definitely read another book by them Thanks Netgalley for the ARC English I really really wanted to like this book but I ended up DNFing at around 10% This story and idea probably had the potential to be good but it needed some serious editing In the form that it was I found it basically unreadable I had no idea what was going on and I didn t really care to find out because the book was just riddled with grammatical errors and illogical sentences Before publishing I would seriously recommend some revision in order for this book to be widely readable English
