Make Your Presence Known: An Anthology By W. Dale Jordan
Ebook make your presence known to others
This was a truly interesting book I ve spent my life pursuing and educating myself on the paranormal and life after death and so this book did not disappoint A good read English These stories ask what if Creepy suspenseful tales English I like a good ghost story anthology and thought this one had interesting takes English Thank you to BookSirens and the publisher for allowing me to read this book I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily Almost every story was excellent 15 different short stories dealing with ghosts and the supernatural 1 or 2 were slightly confusing maybe just not enough background information It seemed like we were jumping in to the middle of a story Many that would make interesting creepy longer stories that I would choose to read A couple stories may have been written by authors whose native language is not English so phrasing semantics and language may seem off to some readers In my opinion every story in this book is a 4 or 5 star English Wow so many good stories in this If you like short horror stories this book is pure heaven every story has something to say they re original atmospheric and totally different from each other There are sixteen stories plus W Dale Jordan s short introduction stories with seances ghosts possessions rituals afterlife perspectives family dramas revenge tales and so on All of them are horror a couple belong to the Gothic genre one is a brilliant sci fi horror tale and than a couple have themes originating in non Western cultures Armenia Zambia The writing is superb the ideas wide ranging and the settings quite diverse The authors express themselves with compassion and intelligence even when touching on themes of some delicacy stillbirth the Armenian genocide forced incarceration mental issues It s very hard to pick favorites but three stories in particular will remain with me for some time Prospective Child Placement Agency a sci fi horror story by Andrew Najberg striking both for the author s technical proficiency and the originality of his ideas It turns the anthology s theme on its head and shows how birth might reflect death in the most uncanny of ways ever The best story one could hope for when closing the book And on the opposite side opening the anthology is a fantastic supernatural story by J. Book passionate about your presence V Gachs Sins of My Sisters a story about nuns getting evicted a surprising tale of wonderfully creepy imagery towards the end when the author hits us with the memorable vision of the Messiah exacting revenge the only way He knows Finally a jaw droppingly good story Do Not Hate Me by Mubanga Kalimamukwento a sort of possession story written in style intriguing both for its premise and the ending And I highly recommend A Sheltering Green by Jonathan Louis Duckworth Specter of Obsession by Rowan Hill I Am Not the Ghost You Wanted by Rae Knowles and Robert Nazar Arjoyan s moving Shallow Buried Bones What gems I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily English
