Passionate penny pincher planner I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review English DNF at 35% English Shout out to this smoking hot cover I loved it gets stars for the eye candy Story wise it fell a little flat for me Our heroine Vera is on a solo vacation after finding out her boyfriend cheated on her She bumps into tech billionaire Lucas at the resort and things kind of take off from there with Vera not quiet able to decide on how she feels what she wants or how to react when life keeps throwing her curveballs I felt she was too wishy washy with her doubts and insecurities and how she projected those on Lucas On the other hand Lucas was almost too laid back of a Hero He liked Vera and pursued her with 100% focus and drive but at the same time talked about how he d be okay if she walked away and how easily he d fallen in and out of love in his past relationships and if things didn t work out with Vera he would just as easily accept it and move on His attitude was a little too defeatist. Passion of the christ The complete turn around that Vera s mom makes also felt rushed She was such a terrible person one minute and a contrite loving mom the next When it came to her and Vera s ex boyfriend I felt they needed karma visited on them Or that could just be my vindictive grudge holding self talking. Passionate gifts mod sims 4 I couldn t put this book down and read it in one sitting English I have read a few books by Lydia and I usually prefer the main female character to the main male character but it s the opposite here I love Lucas he s such a sweetheart Vera on the other hand is a bit flakey and she doesn t seem to know what she wants half the time Lucas is extraordinarily patient with her After some ups and downs there s a HEA and Vera does grow up a bit It s a well written book and I would recommend it.
