Interesting solution for the story I haven t seen before Celebel annoyed the shit out of me from time to time and I did hope a little Rafael would just eat him just a nibble maybe but he was crucial as a catalyst for the story and he did grow on me towards the end Curaniel also annoyed me in a good way though but also was different from a lot fmc with her sometimes questionable judgements and anarchist tactics about getting her soulmates together Rafael is a really complex character that I still don t feel I truly know but really what to pop the hood open on and look at what s inside. I love this book But what s not to love It is a Dark Romantic Fantasy it s why choose it s character driven and there s monster smut The writing style is stunning the world building is complex without going over your head and not once does the author treat the reader like they re stupid The characters including the side characters are fully fleshed out and real And the smut was very well written and so much fun. Slay the dragon silver star A Chaplin We follow Curaniel Rafael and Celebes and their evolving relationship with their newfound soulmate bond I would describe this book as dark high fantasy romance The worldbuilding is quite heavy at times A very complex detailed world with history and legends for all beings The powers of each species are interesting to learn about even within the elves or the dragons I loved our main characters Curaniel deals with a lot emotionally She s a sexy little vixen too I think we d be great friends Celebes has this regal feel to him knowing his role in the elvish community But he still has a little devilish side Whereas Rafael is the complete opposite a true beast in form and character with the smallest soft spot for Curaniel Not to mention the trauma and the way Curaniel and him are willing to go step by step over a lifetime to get to where they both can Yet they all have this layer of vulnerability as well as trauma The characters are well done they feel multi faceted. EBook Silver Star, Red dragon eq As for the plot it did feel surprisingly quite light when looking back on it There is a war between the elves and the bad guys I cannot for the life of me remember how to spell their names Add to that the long hateful history between the elves and the dragons But we still don t understand why there is this war Other than two battles not much happens with this enemy We did get a lot of tension within the elf kingdom with the dragons but no resolution or progress As for the side characters I cannot for the life of me differentiate between all the elves Except for Curaniel s friend from the hill Celebel s friend who hated Curaniel But I have no issue with the dragons Might just be because of the names but maybe because we did end up with a lot of characters with similar roles at some point Overall this is a good debut the story is intriguing and the romance addicting I m excited to see how the author continues the story as well as the evolving bonds between our three main characters Can t wait for banter and spice.
