With the author s voice echoed in our footsteps as we traipse through a world we still struggle to piece back together soli I got this book as an ARC I thoroughly enjoyed how peculiar and dreamlike this book is the joy and sensuality of connection I find the title so interesting cringe often derives from offbeat sincerity So what does that mean for the erotic That sincerity in erotic can be cringeworthy I feel like the chapbook does a wonderful job of exploring that concept My favorite pieces in the collection were Acute euphoria and its cozy atmosphere Stone Fruit with its imagery Sourdough was probably my number one favorite I loved the word choices I could almost smell it I loved how the person who is spoken of is compared to the act of baking bread Icarus was also great The humor and sexuality of it was so much fun I also enjoyed Let s feast on St Crispin.
