Loved this story The Professor and Miss Jones This was definitely a good book to dive into and expect all you think you should be expecting I LOVE ME SOME DR WEST The flaws the power the strength and his hurt makes him the right leading man He tamed the wild and extremely intelligent Miss Jones This was so well written It will give you love danger understanding some mystery some nasty sex and some damn goodt poll dancing Babyyyyy Miss Jones Hey gurl Nikki Michelle Almost Doesn t Count was a layered story with a fierce message The author provided many thought provoking gems but she did so in a way that it was entertaining educational and easy to understand This book has many tropes including forbidden romance age gap professor and student romance amongst many others Also there was a good level of spice strong friendships and brotherhood I appreciated the way the story was detailed I could picture things as they happened Dr West is a tenured Psychology Professor His course is highly sought after and he pushes his students throughout the semester However outside of the lecture hall is a man with a troubled background I felt like there were two versions of Dr West and I can say that I loved both versions If get you someone that can do both needed a poster child he is IT I empathized with his story and I understood the darkness and mysteriousness of his character I loved his protective nature his take charge capabilities he commanded the room and I understand why his exes and Miss Jones were under his spell Miss Jones is an inquisitive senior majoring in Psychology By day she is a scholar and by night she is the headliner at Magic a local strip club It s sort of clich but it makes sense when Miss Jones story unfolded I felt awful for her and the battles she had to face It seemed like men failed her but Dr West came in with his cape to save the day. Almost Doesn't counton2 The story completely caught me by surprise I would say about 30% until the end I was swiping my pages so fast I was stuck and while it was a slow burn the pacing was good and I could feel the tension between the characters They tried so hard to not cross the line but the close proximity was overwhelming and ultimately won the battle There was a darkness and a suspense that held my gaze Dr West and Miss Jones were two complicated souls and they took me through the wringer but as things continued to unfold I wanted to give both the biggest hugs I appreciated the way the importance of mental health in the African Americans was highlighted I thought providing insight on domestic violence and the cycle that sometimes follows the abused was needed Ps there are heavy and graphic scenes practice self care and review the trigger warning This was a great story arc copy Nikki Michelle Me and Miss JonesWe got a thing goin onThis story kept me wired up Dr West and Miss Jones journey had so many twists and turns that my head was snapping left and right The antagonists in their story came out swinging like villains in Gotham city Whew They found solace in each other while fighting and overcoming many obstacles Professor didn t play about HIS Miss Jones He s a rugged educated and caring man I would have been blowing his BBMs up like crazy. Almost Doesn't Count book Then the hits kept coming for Isis I wanted to hold her in my arms like Iyanla does on her show She was searching for the truth and doing her best to stay afloat That young woman is tenacious While trying to stay afloat she d drift away from Dr West but baby he ain t gonna let her slip awayThere are so many layers that will keep you captivated Nikki Michelle excitement till the endThis book was filled with plot punches left and right The story did an amazing job painting the picture and really making you feel like a fly on the wall This book was on kindle Vella and I can see how with each chapter released the story builds and is revealed that would have you with your hand over your mouth while reading Nikki Michelle Whew I love a book that will take you on a ride Almost Doesn t Count gave me that ride from beginning to the very last page It s a slow burn that gives great character development and a story line that keeps you guessing and clutching your pearls Nikki Michelle
