Cage of bones kindle download The characters in the book were enjoyable and you got into them easy enough Storyline wise was very enjoyable A good who done it that kept you guessing all the way through and I can t say I had figured it out before it was revealed in the book Jenny OBrien Note Thank you to NetGalley.

Cage of bones epub book When the bones of a victim are found in the bottom of a crab pot the bizarre case proves to be Detective Alana Mack s toughest yet She and her team must rely purely upon forensic clues to identify the elderly woman s remains As Alana negotiates the complex web of genetic links at the heart of the case she finds herself the target of a seemingly random attack Or is it This is my first book reading by Jenny O Brien and what an amazing read She had me hooked in from the very beginning with the discovery of bones in a fishing pot on the first page I loved how this story was so interwoven with all her rich and colourful characters and Detective Alana Mack is a great character she s feisty no nonsense and has a brilliant mind I love how the author has you invested early on with all the characters in this story with an intricate plot great back stories and the best was not being able to guess who the murderer was I was extremely impressed with the author s research for all things to do with crime murder scenes DNA and timelines The plot itself albeit intricate and cleverly spun does not leave you feeling out of your depth O Brien makes it easy to follow along with the story it s not too fast paced that you miss anything I am so excited to now go and read the other books featuring Detective Alana Mack. Is bag of bones a good book Kerry Kennedy Author Jenny OBrien This is the third book in a series which I did not realize However there is enough detail and explanation so that I felt that I understood a bit of each character and what happened in the past Skeletal remains are found in a crab cage that belongs to Barney Mulcahy Detective Alana Mack and her team are called in to investigate The remains seem to be from a 70ish year old woman At the same time a man named Mason Clare has gone missing Soon it is discovered that Mason is Barney s adopted brother Alana feels that the two cases are connected Alana is a very strong independent woman Due to an incident that happened in a previous case she is wheelchair bound She is also being targeted by attacks and is starting to feel vulnerable However she persists in figuring out the identity of the woman and the connections between she and Mason The character of Alana is very well and realistically written She is dedicated to her job and running thorough investigation The members on her team are intelligent supportive and also hardworking except for one who is causing a bit of dissention This is a very good police procedural story that draws you in from the beginning It is very atmospheric with some dark elements There are twists throughout I highly recommend if you like Ann Cleeves Loreth Ann White Storm Publishing and author Jenny O Brien for the advanced reader copy of this book This review will also be posted on NetGalley What follows is my unbiased review of the book. Cage of bones epub book After reading a police procedural that didn t feel all that authentic I anticipated having the same reaction to Cage of Bones I haven t read the first two books in the series so I wasn t acquainted with Detective Alana Mack and her crew of Irish policemen However after reading this book I am eager to go back and read the first two of the series. Book cave of bones When a fisherman pulls dead crab and human bones from his crab trap there are few clues as to who the victim is The bones are nearly picked clean and it s up to Detective Mack and her team to figure out who it is As they are questioning the fisherman Barney Mulcahy about his find his estranged brother suddenly turns up missing as well These are the first in several deaths that seem to be centered around the family so who do the bones belong to Cage of Bones uncovers family secrets and lies that reach back decades Alana Mack is a unique character as she s in a wheelchair due to an accident but still manages to be an effective investigator As the investigation progresses she is attacked not just once but three times the last time nearly claiming a number of lives along with hers This creates some conflict with her boss and begs the question if he would have reacted the same way were she not already in a wheelchair Leo is not a bad person though as his character is humanized throughout the story rather than becoming a caricature Alana also acquires a new helper along the way as well as a new addition to her team who doesn t fit in with the rest all that well. Cage of bones son lux meaning To read my full review please go to Cage of Bones by Jenny O Brien Irish Police Procedural with Intriguing Family Secrets Jenny OBrien Why are the members of a family being targeted for death When Barney Mulcahy checks his crab traps in Howth Harbor in the lead up to a storm he discovers one that contains what is left of a human body bones from which any flesh has been eaten by the crabs Barney is friendly with the father of Flynn O Hare part of Detective Alana Mack s team at the Clonabee branch of the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and uses that connection to get Alana s team called out to investigate The body turns out to be that of a woman likely in her 70 s but identifying her will prove difficult At the same time over in Dingle a man named Mason Clare has gone missing Mason grew up in Ireland but became a police officer for the NYPD and had only recently returned to Ireland upon his retirement When Alana finds out that Mason is Barney s adopted brother it seems too odd to be just a coincidence that two deaths connect to Barney More bodies linked genetically will turn up as Alana and her team try to make sense of a case involving fatal fires adoptions and shameful elements in Ireland s history All the while Alana is being targeted for attacks that make this strong fiercely independent woman realize how vulnerable she is struggles with a new team member who is causing dissension in the ranks and is having relationship issues to boot It is difficult to find a killer when you aren t sure who the victim is but Alana and her team are determined to do both before people are killed. The bones of the story Cage of Bones is the third in author Jenny O Brien s series featuring NBCI Detective Alana Mack A no nonsense and accomplished investigator Alana is still coming to terms with living in a wheelchair as the result of an accident not long ago. Cage of bones book an accident that also resulted in her divorce Her work and her team are her life which makes the introduction without her consent of an additional member who has rock solid skills but also a long history of angering and or alienating those with whom and for whom she works a major problem Alana s verdict on her new boss is still to be determined. Epub cage of bones free he is likely better than her last one but that s a pretty low bar She and her assorted team members are well developed characters and the plot engages the reader s interest from the beginning and takes them down a twisty path to its ultimate conclusion with all manner of possible villains along the way While it is not at all necessary to have read the first two in the series in order to enjoy Cage of Bones it reads well as a standalone I highly encourage readers to read all three This is one of my favorite new series of the last few years and if you enjoyed Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect or like reading works by Ann Cleeves John Connolly or Val McDermid you absolutely must give this series a try Many thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for allowing me access to an early copy of this fantastic read Jenny OBrien Cage of Bones is the third book in a series of three and while I m sure much can be gained by reading them in the correct order the fact that I hadn t read the previous two books did not detract from my enjoyment of this absorbing crime thriller. Book of bones 10 record-breaking animals The Story When Barney Mulcahy pulls his crab pots on board his fishing boat he is shocked to find not crabs but human bones Detective Alana Mack and her team are tasked with identifying the remains and the killer in this fast paced police procedural. How to study bones As the story continues there are murders which can be linked to the initial case Also Detective Mack is mugged outside her home and loses her phone Later when she is assaulted by the same shadowy figure she wonders whether someone is trying to stop her from getting to the truth. Cage of bonesh horse I was quickly hooked and questioning the whys and wherefores of each murder as they arose trying to solve the crimes I did manage to identify the murderer although I was not convinced by the motive about which I had my own ideas. Pdf cage of bones book pdf I was also interested in Detective Mack s team of detectives who worked well together However I wondered about Detective Sergeant Barry s unilateral decision to add Detective Eve Rohan AKA The Nun to Mack s team as Rohan did not seem like a good fit for the team and came across as a rather difficult individual. Cage of bones epub book A lot of research has gone into the production of this well written novel which enhanced my enjoyment of the story I was particularly interested in the Bonaparte genealogy programme the DNA matching software used by Interpol. Book of bones 10 record-breaking animals All in all I would say that this is another enthralling and thought provoking read from Ms O Brien and one which I would not hesitate to recommend Jenny OBrien Set in a small fishing village this novel is quite the tangled web When a lone fisherman catches a cage of bones instead of a pot full of crab Detective Alana Mack and team are put to work to determine who he found Already partially paralyzed and in a wheelchair after a terrible accident Alana is still tough and not easily willing to accept help Except when she s attacked for seemingly getting too close to answers and she finds she must give in and accept it Forensics and genetics lead the team to make a connection with a house fire long ago and then the fisherman s brother turns up dead in another town Are these cases connected Or is the team trying to force them into a false storyline Thanks to NetGalley Storm Publishing and Jenny O Brien for the eARC Jenny OBrien 4 Stars One Liner A solid read When human bones are found in a crab pot Detective Alana Mack finds it an odd case With help from science they find the victim s identity However Alana is injured in a random attack and the case gets complicated as new clues emerge Seems the victim has connections to a previous cold case As bodies turn up Alana needs to solve both cases fast The story comes in the third person POV of Alana max William and a couple of other characters for a chapter or two My Thoughts The third book with Alana Mack has a highly complicated plot It starts with bones in a crab pot but takes many turns to end up somewhere else Luckily the progress isn t jumpy or haphazard It helps that the MC has no idea about fishing terms and processes This makes the explanations a part of the narrative without seeming like it s only there for the readers We have a new addition rather two new additions but one of them is a dog Wally so he gets the limelight I wish Wally continues to be a part of the series He is a darling The other addition is a new member Eve in the MC s team Tensions increase right away Have to see where it ll lead There are possibly some minor developments in the MC s personal life We get a little information about her past and the reason for her presence in a wheelchair She is a no nonsense bordering on rude person but is good to see her indulge in a couple of emotions at times Her character is going great so far I did figure out the killer before the team did and liked that I was right Some of the actions seem OTT which does align with that character s persona so no big deal While I have always liked Paddy William is giving a good fight to take the first place He is a smart lad and would excel in the field He loves Wally which is another huge point in his favor. Cage of bonesifter marwak The series does feel like it has solidified with this one I hope the momentum continues Of course I m not sure about the track with attacks on Alana Will it be something that connects to her backstory or future books Have to wait and find out I guess The author s note was an interesting read and provided an insight into her writing process I always enjoy such snippets shared by authors Won t say as I don t want to reveal the spoilers To summarize Cage of Bones is a well crafted and executed police procedural with many twists and turns It s a bit on the slower side but doesn t get boring at any point Looking forward to the next one Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for eARC This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book NetGalley CageofBones Jenny OBrien The third in the Alana Mack series and the best of the bunch for me Here Alana and her team are trying to identify the remains of a body that is found by a local fisherman in his crab pots while taking them in A really well told story that touches on some of Irelands dark past the story is interesting and well plotted Alana juggles her personal life with her professional as she tries to unravel what s going on all from her wheelchair Some back story about Alana adds meat to the bone of her character something that was somewhat missing in the previous two books as we didn t really have an explanation as to how she ended up relatively recently in a wheelchair A lot of the setting for this book is in an area of Dublin that is only a few miles from me and which I m very familiar with so that added to my fondness for this book I think the series finally came of age in Cage Of Bones It s a really cracking read and if you ve read the previous two then you are in for a real treat Many thanks to the publisher for the ARC through Netgalley Jenny OBrien As the local crab fisherman raised his pots he couldn t work out why one pot was filled with dead crabs Until he saw the bones which looked decidedly human Calling the garda Detective Alana Mack was soon on the scene along with forensics and the doctor among others As Alana a paraplegic from a serious accident a few years earlier rallied her team together she had no idea that this case would be one of her hardest to date When Alana was attacked in the car park of her home dragged from her wheelchair while her phone and handbag were stolen a broken wrist and bruising wouldn t keep her from work As the body count rose the strangeness of the investigation bothered Alana Paddy and William Why was it that one of the people in question had two mothers DNA didn t lie One had died in a fire forty years ago one had died recently Frustrated at the lack of success Alana knew she only needed one thing to match But would it happen Set in Ireland Cage of Bones is the 3rd in the Detective Alana Mack series by Jenny O Brien and it was a superb police procedural Alana is an excellent character strong determined and never one to give up even with her boss telling her to go home Her team are right up there in their support and the introduction of Wally the dog was a masterpiece I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and look forward to 4 eagerly Highly recommended. Cage of bones thriller book Whilst investigating this case Detective Mack is made aware of another case in Kerry this time a disappearance but with a link to Barney Mulcahy, Cage of bones band With thanks to NetGalley Storm Publishing for my digital ARC to read and review Jenny OBrien
