Saving His Bookish Daddy is a prequel novel for the Unlikely Daddies series coming in the Spring of 2024 I ve been desperate for a safe space myself somewhere I can let go of absolutely everything turn off my brain SHBD was a story about second chances with some enemies to lovers vibes in there and how healing being loved correctly can be Saving His Bookish Daddy The premise and the characters were interesting but the pieces never came together this felt a bit like a chopped salad instead of a narrative which is really unfortunate because I love the series concept Saving His Bookish Daddy Eh Not as good as the second book Fairly forgettable unfortunately Saving His Bookish Daddy Zander Tragen has had his heart broken before Most notably when Joey Gannon his older brother s straight best friend didn t want him back But that was a decade ago when they were just teenagers He s grown up since then He owns a bookstore that is not doing so well And he s not been in a serious relationship for a while come to think of it Twenty five is a terrible age to peak When Joey moves back to town Zander s feelings come rushing back But Joey s still all kinds of off limits Until their fight in a bar bathroom And that kiss a one night stand with your adolescent crush is a good idea right When Joey pushes Zander away after a night of fun feelings and mutual discoveries Zander puts up walls that feel familiar safe But then Joey comes back six months later asking for a second chance Zander wants to say no but he may not get this chance again The chance to finally be with Joey but not just as his partner As his Daddy Inside this book you ll find a bookstore owner who loves to take control a suit wearing boy s bi awakening with his best friend s little brother a younger Daddy and a newfound love of lingerie and kinky toys with a taste of enemies to lovers and no age play Saving His Bookish Daddy can be read as a standalone and is the 50K word prequel to the Unlikely Daddies series an upcoming MM and MM romance series about Daddies who may not look like a Daddy at first and the boys who love them If you love watching men fall in love with other men in explicit detail you ll love this book Saving His Bookish DaddyDaddy Boy stories run a fine line with me some are a bit too much but luckily this stayed in my comfort zone it was really kind of sweet as these two men built their renewed relationship Zander and Joey knew each other years ago then Joey left for college and then a great job Years later he s back and that pleases Zander a lot It s an interesting tale as they reconnect and grow close a really nice read This seems to be the first story from this author and his second is out as well centered around Cameron a cute young man from this story Saving His Bookish Daddy It still takes me replacing the title Daddy with the honorific Sir in my brain for me to get into things but I liked this one a lot It was an awesome love story Aside from some places better editing wouldn t have gone amiss it had lots of cheesy fluffy swoony goodness and the spice was hellanice Like so good I adored the characters the story was interesting the familiar tropes were done well and didn t feel overdone and dry please get it and I m looking forward to the upcoming series 4.
