Including the MC did not use contractions in their speech like I felt they would have 387 Follow an unfortunate soul who has been thrown into a fantasy world with nothing He is quickly railroaded into joining the Legion and has to develop under harsh conditions while slowly discovering his potential power This story has light LitRPG elements with a stat and magic advancement system The MC is not overpowered and experiences the pain of growth as he tries to find a place in the strange new world while staying alive Neither are coming easy to him as his Legion Company is constantly in harm s way A Soldier s Life Book 1This was highly entertaining I wasn t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised I really enjoyed this book It has many aspects that I enjoyed.
Life of a child soldier book
A job well done to the author mc was really level headed and despite many other mcs that immediately tell everyone that I m not from this world he kept his secret and tried to use his brain and not his privates to think at the beginning constant status pages were annoying but it got better afterwards litrpg aspect is really light and obscure and we learn how it works with the mc instead of getting relentlessly info dumped which is another good point about the book plot was interesting and mysterious the world building is rich and done well 5 stars for this book definitely recommend and waiting for the next installment 387

Isekai litrpg fantasy that leans into realism without being grimdark Slow progression without feeling dull or repetitive Just an overall satisfying and tangible fantasy slice of life experience with a bit of a direction and drive Easily worth a read for fans of the above 387 very good bookI really liked this book As others said MC was not OP but has potential to be My only negative was that his growth was a little too slow He missed a few opportunities he should have taken Still awesome 387 Book oneI have been putting off reading this one because I did the unthinkable and judged a book by its cover It was so plain and simple that I thought the story would be to. Life as a soldier Now I don t really have an in depth knowledge of the Roman Legions but what is described in this book sounds plausible such as paranormal fantasy action adventure as well as drama and intrigue I loved the characters and the way there roles come together I almost wished I hadn t started this series until it was completed I don t like waiting for the next book instead I prefer to binge my series if possible Especially when the stories are not standalone. EPub A Soldier's lifelock The world building is comfortably familiar with some original elements The same could be said for the magic system which thankfully has clear limits if not costs I like the Roman Empire origin of this society There has been no fall of the empire in 2000 years presumably because the ruling class is extremely long lived and because the empire is still expanding The author doesn t lean on Roman history much which is disappointing I d have liked to see of the historic beats reproduced like the oft broken promise of land for soldiers upon retirement Or the watering down of Roman control due to foreigners swelling the Legion ranks Or the inherent danger of making military accomplishments a route to civil power Oh well maybe in future books. Autobiography of a soldier While this novel didn t have an overpowering emotional impact it was always interesting and easy to read I cared about the main characters and felt a need to be with them on this adventure That s than enough for five stars 387 a book like this in litrpg genre is a rare find i only found a handful of books with this quality book flows naturally and everything fits perfectly.
