Book Ashwood resorts world Alright read a bit too short for me The story had potential Some steamy scenes Gay and Lesbian Romance Fiction Ok SoThis succeeded in being a steamy little smutty novella but it failed at being a book So if you want sex scenes interspersed with a really horny internal monologue then this would be an acceptable choice I m going back and forth between 1 or 2 stars because it did technically deliver some nice sex scenes but I don t know that this passed the bar to be considered a legitimate book If you like your smut to be contained within a worthwhile novel however then this is a complete failure It s just generally a terrible shallow and empty story that is poorly structured and very rushed The real standout for me however wasn t the plot but rather the terrible editing I don t know how this got published in all honesty considering that a basic readthrough caught a ton of very obvious mistakes They randomly use the wrong names at times teleport to different pieces of furniture a coffee mug turns into a wine glass in the next sentence there are typos etc The biggest mistake was an entire section that was repeated in the next chapter slightly re written but obviously a different draft of the same scene It was wild as though this was a first draft that somehow got released to the world I would assume I got a bad copy however other reviewers have said they noticed the same thing If this novella went through a solid round of editing or a few then I think it could easily be a reasonable 4 star novella without needing any big rewrites If it got expanded a bit and added some extra depth and whatnot it could even possible be a 5 star novel Gay and Lesbian Romance Fiction
