This telling of the stories of foundational black women of the Civil Rights Movement who history has seemingly forgotten was one of my favorites this year 4 Critical information wonderfully presented by an engaging and knowledgeable expert No notes 4 A very condense history into some of the forgotten unsung heroic women who help to battle and fight for the rights of Blacks in America during the Civil Right Movement Quick listen too to educate someone of some of the often ignored and forgotten females who paved the way for generations to come 4 I was lost in the sauce playing Spirit Tea looking for something to listen too I stumbled across Black Women of the Civil rights movement and thought it sounded perfect What a fantastic listen There were some names I was familiar with but there were others I have never heard of These women did such incredible work for the Civil rights movement Each woman came from an intersectional point of view and gave so many important things to the movement. I highly suggest giving this a listen 4 Here are six short biographies of six women who made a serious difference in advancing civil rights in America I had not heard of any of them before which is sad because it is obvious that each of these heroines made a substantial difference often at great risk to themselves It s a very worthwhile collection 4
