Firstly I would like to commend the author for giving us this wonderful story Second of all the title is so captivating and is just apt to the story The protagonist of the story is Sequoia a young woman who migrated into the States I ve seen a lot of immigrants and I ve personally witnessed the struggle at one point of time So I could relate to the story in that way There are thousands of Sequoia s in the US Personally I felt that the toughest part of Sequoia losing her mother in the journey I still felt that the cover picture could have been a little better given the wonderful story However I understand that it s secondary The story is about how she had to face hardships again and again in her life It was easy to read and a great weekend getaway for me There are a lot of emotions in the story and are raw If you re looking for a light read then this is for you. I did not take than three sittings to complete it Please also note that I m a slow reader so you can complete it quickly as per your pace This didn t turn out to be a bad choice after all Paperback., Overall she was determined to survive and got a job where she finds friends like family But again happiness didn t last as she experienced another loss, The book had so many moments that touched my heart deeply I know I ll carry those feelings with me for a long time because they were so special and unforgettable, This story is a reminder that people can overcome anything and that love can conquer all It shows that no matter how difficult life gets love has the power to endure.Go for it.Rating 4.Overall an inspiring read.S
