Someone is going to get hurt I like this series and look forward to the next Kindle Edition I do enjoy listening to this series The romance is just typical insta lust insta love A damsel in distress needs to be saved And the savior is happened to be the sworn enemy of her brother Typical forbidden romance It is refreshing to finally found a book by Maya Banks that works for me The romance is mixed with action I like the action than the romance Garret certainly the typical alpha male hero with all of his man over protective bodyguard I wish i have of his groveling though Overall I do enjoy this book during rainy night 4 stars Kindle Edition Favorite Quote He made her stupid Completely and utterly stupid Hidden Away is the third book in Maya Banks KGI series This is Garrett s book In the first book.

I d like to know about that guy Then you read them in the next book and you thought OMG I want need to know everything about them now I need his book like yesterday I had a few moments like that while reading Hidden Away with Donovan and PJ I need his book and I need her book The geeky Kelly brother with brains and muscles and the sniper chick who is a total mystery to almost everyone Need Their Books Just a quick little side note here None of the chicks in this series have family None What s with that Hidden Away was a good continuation to the series Garrett and Sarah worked well together I was not disappointed Up next is Nathan s book It will be called Whispers in the Dark and is scheduled to hit stores in February 2012 sob That is an awfully long time to wait for the next book But I ll wait because I love the family unit in this series and I love how the friendships are written too. Fiction KGI, t3 arena But here s the thingI can t get over the fact that he chose to seduce a rape victim while lying to her about everything I get he cared about her I get the panting attraction but if he REALLY cared about her he wouldn t have had sex with her when he was lying to her when he was using her as bait for her brother Yes yes Marcus was a bad man But for whatever reason he was good to Sarah and she knew nothing about his other life Marcus was her only rock her only anchor and he protected her fiercely even killing a man who hurt her When someone has survived rape trust is a hard thing To lie to Sarah to use her and make her trust you and then have sex with her because you think you love her that s fucked up Beyond fucked up And from that point forward I just really had a problem with the book Because in my mind nothing Garrett could ever EVER say or do would make up for such a flagrant betrayal of her trust If he hadn t had sex with her maybe But to pretend to be someone he s not and take advantage of her in that way nothing could ever make that okay If he was a decent human being AT ALL he should have insisted on that step not being taken until the situation was over and he could be honest with her If he cared about her wanted to protect her he wouldn t have done that. Book KGI, t30 Garrett The plot s kind of simple and easy to follow Sarah witnesses her half brother arms dealer Marcus Lattimer killing the man who raped her She goes into hiding because she doesn t want to be forced to testify against her brother and there may be someone else who can connect her to the crime and would want to silence her Her rich powerful brother s into all kinds of shady things most of which Sarah knows nothing about and the CIA has been after him for a while The CIA sees this crime as a chance to finally flush the elusive Lattimer out of hiding and wants to use Sarah to accomplish this They hire KGI Kelly Group International a family run business of former military men who specialize in hostage kidnap victim recovery and intelligence gathering to find her and keep an eye on her They figure sooner or later big brother Marcus is bound to show up where Sarah is. KGI, t3pa Former Marine Garrett Kelly has drawn what looks to be an easy no danger involved assignment The fact that this assignment can bring down the man who had done him and his men wrong in the past also makes it hard to resist He wants in Still recovering from a serious injury he suffered protecting his sister in law Sophie No Place to Run what can happen to him while watching over a beautiful woman who is hiding out in a remote beach town Well a lot than he was counting on An unexpected romance plenty of danger and an unexplained desire to protect possess and lay down his life for a woman for the first time in his life But in order to protect Sarah he has to lie to herand that s not going to go over too well with a woman who s used to having her trust violated by men Sarah thinks she s fallen for Garrett and has found a man she can finally trust but will that be destroyed when she finds out the truth Garrett s been keeping from her This was a really easy book to read I loved revisiting the Kelly family and seeing Garrett interact with his brothers sisters in law and parents Although I liked the little subplot about Sophie s pregnancy and adopted sister Rusty s trouble with an aggressive boyfriend it did sort of disrupt the flow of Garrett s and Sarah story In Rusty s case I figure it was used to lay the foundation for her own book and to eliminate any of the Kelly brothers as her future HEA as for Sophie and her pregnancy I figured that was used to show Garrett how happy his brother Sam was and to open his eyes about his own future I don t think the whole plot of Sarah and Garrett and their relationship and any danger they were in could sustain 300 pages so those little subplots were added in. Kgt3n us735 You ll have to wait for deep into the book for any bedroom love scenes between Sarah and Garrett This makes sense because Sarah is trying to get over a horrible experience from her past and is unsure if she can trust a man again And Garrett although he s attracted to Sarah is a little reluctant to look at Sarah as than a job But he holds out for as long as he can until he can t resist the allure of Sarah any longer The scene where he leaves the wine books and chocolate on her deck just emphasized how sweet and sensitive a guy he really was and made me fall for him as it did for Sarah You may have to wait until around page 240 for any bedroom action but what you get will be sweet hot sensual and believable If you haven t fallen for Garrett by that point then you have a heart of stone If you like your RS heavy on the romance less on the suspense then this one s for you I think you ll find both Garrett and Sarah extremely likable you ll enjoy the interaction between Garrett and his family and when is Donovan going to get his story and you ll be intrigued by some of the non family members of KGI I m talking about Rio specifically This is the third book in what is turning out to be a pretty decent series and while this book can if you must be read as a stand alone I d suggest you read them in order to get the full effect This wasn t my favorite of the series No Place to Run but it was close I think Garrett may be my favorite of the Kelly men so far but you can hardly lose chosing any one of them 4 stars Kindle Edition You can say it Sarah You were raped You were violated You were attacked by someone you trusted You have to leave your reality glasses in the other room while reading this book Lol After six Maya Banks books it is clear that she has a soft spot for broken and traumatized heroine And so do I But this was the third rape recovery book I ve read in a short time span and I need a break from them. KGI, T3 booklet I loved Garrett I loved the part on the paradise island Big swoon when he brought her a basket with books chocolate and whine After that it was action packed and I couldn t put it down The ending was beautiful although a bit naive I didn t feel a lifelong love at that point I have mainly two complaints 1 I think Maya Banks takes to lightly on the trauma after that kind of rape I was scared for her when Garrett advanced Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Courtney Milan handle this issue much better. Kgi book 2 The fact that Garrett lied to Sarah for almost the whole book We have a heroine with serious trust issues and then he lies to her Fine I get that he can t say Oh I ve been sent from the CIA to arrest your brother who you love very much But still I think he could have handled it a lot better And I would have liked some grovelling now she basically forgives him in a second. Kpi terminal deep rock galactic The best thing about this book was the Rusty subplot Big yay for everyone standing up for her And finally the brothers acknowledged her I also have a soft spot for Rio 3 and we got to see a lot of him This wasn t the best in this series but it wasn t bad enough to put me off it either Kindle Edition This was one of those books when you exclaim What the hell happened when it ends Because I didn t get it Well I didn t get where the blurb came from Because the story and the blurb didn t mesh. Book KGI, t35 But let s start at the beginning It was slow Very slow Very very slow Something happened in the first chapter then we had chapter after chapter of nothing happening then she disappeared there was a birth which had nothing to do with the main story by the way he found her again something completely unrelated happened they were rescued someone was killed she felt betrayed he groveled she forgave him The end. Kgi wien And it was slow Even when it started moving toward the end it was a little too late and a little too slow for comfort Also the fact the main story the hero and heroine story was overshadowed by the hordes of secondary characters continuations of past books a possible glimpse into a future story etc. Book KGI, t33n And when we actually got to spend time with Garrett and Sarah the relationship was bland emotionally detached and rather boring Even Garrett my favorite Kelly brother so far didn t inspire anything remotely similar to what he inspired when he was merely a secondary character himself. Book KGI, t3 arena And don t get me started on the suspense because there was very little of it and rather boring as well It didn t deliver on the blurb it didn t deliver on the term romantic suspense it didn t deliver at all. KGI, T3 pdffiller It seems to me Ms Banks should definitely change genres because I fear she just cannot do the romantic suspense genre any good Even if you separate those two she s not particularly good at them judging by this book. 3 STARS Kindle Edition Re Read via audible I have to mark down to 3. Book KGI, t300 5 stars was 4 stars I still love Garrett But what he did to Sara Whew I was not ok with how easy he got off He gives her a pretty speech and she folds I thought he needed to have to work harder But I guess I am ok because I believe he would have done the work. Book KGI, t33n Garrett is a sweet guy behind all the muscles Sara is living with a horrible secret Unfortunately when you start a relationship on a lie I loved Garrett He was a total badass with a soft and sweet side He was tender and loving towards his sister in law who had been kidnapped and left for dead In the second book Garrett was a bit of an arse Okay he was a total arse I ve been looking forward to his book so I could finally know who the real Garrett was Well it turns out he s a little bit from column A and a little bit from column B. Book KGI, t38 Garrett is an ex Marine who now works with his brothers at KGI a family run military type organization that handles hostage kidnap victim recovery intelligence gathering and other jobs the U. Kgi tome 12 S government can t He is the second oldest of six brothers all military men Garrett is the sour puss in the family Six years ago something happened to him while still a Marine and a man named Marcus Lattimer was responsible As every story needs a very bad man Lattimer takes on the role in Hidden Away Garrett hates this guy and wants to take him down So does the CIA When the CIA gets a lead that could help capture said very bad man they enlist Garrett to help since they know he wants this guy as badly as the government does What s the lead Sarah Daniels Lattimer s half sister insert dramatic music Sarah witnessed a murder committed by her brother and is now on the run The CIA has tracked her down and wants to use her to fish out Lattimer Garrett is asked to watch her until that happens Sounds like a pretty simple job right But even though Sarah is completely green when it comes to running for her life and has been hurt greatly not that long ago she ends up being of a handful than anyone expected. Kpi terminal deep rock galactic I quite enjoyed Sarah s character She s pretty much your typical regular nice girl whose world has suddenly been turned upside down only to accidentally get involved in her brother s affairs turning her world inside out She is doing her best to cope with what has been handed to her She s not Wonder Woman or MacGyver and I liked that She s very clever and smart but now without her mistakes She seemed real to me I can t say that I could relate to her because I ve never been through what she s been through but I could definitely feel for her and I wanted her to find her happy ending And thank goodness Garrett was there to help her there. Kgi tome 12 Garrett was wonderful with Sarah He needed to be tough sometimes and he needed to be tender sometimes He wasn t all macho look at my big guns and my weapons are pretty impressive too That s not what Sarah needed and he knew that I m telling you that Ma Kelly sure did raise some pretty impressive sons I preferred how the plot was laid out this time around to how it was done in the second book This time not all of the questions were answered at the very beginning In fact some answers only came on the second to last page in this book It made for a much better flow and a poignant climax And speaking of climax wink wink Even though Maya made us wait and wait and wait for Garrett and Sarah to hook up it worked well with the story Once you read it you ll understand but doing it any differently would have made Sarah s struggles unimportant But once they did get it on very nice. KGI, T3 kindle app Now have you ever read a book where you meet a character and thought Huh I was prepared for bad ass action from page one But sad to say that any resemblance of action adventure suspense promised was withheld to give way for beach frolicking car crash child birth then some beach frolicking The only part that held my interest was the hilarious banter between Garrett and Van I also have some very serious issues with Garret over protectiveness towards his sisters in law It just bugged me that he had this constant worries about Rachel and Sophie back home every five minutes I get that he was a compassionate and watchful man but geez lewis Garrett enough all ready Let Ethan and Sam do their spousal duty Garrett was way on towards the creepy mark I hope book 4 will improve and looking forward to PJ s story Kindle Edition..
