The bully meets his matchThis is a high angst book At times I felt frustrated with both of them Isla is a happy teenager until the boy she secretly crushes on cruelly and without cause rips her apart verbally in front of the school Because Fannar was to be alpha everyone else followed his lead and Isla life was made a living hell Years have gone by and no one in town seem to mature at all still ridiculing her except Fannar who seems to have developed selective amnesia and doesn t remember all he said or did to her He has matured is kind and empathetic to his pack and is now Alpha When Isla is brought to a pack meeting by her parents she sees him again for the first time in years They both feel immediate attraction and are meant to be together Isla is now in her late 20 s and while what Fannar did was truly awful she also should have fought to be accepted or to forget them all and find a new life She also never told any of the things going on to her parents who love her deeply they could and would have helped her as well Fannar goes with the attraction he feels and talks Isla into pretending to be his girlfriend to get his mother to stop trying to set him up on dates So begins a weird and twisted love hate relationship where they can t keep their hands off each other even while Isla is still deeply affected by anger and mistrust She also withholds vital information that might be a clue to their strong attraction At this point she is the one lacking maturity and their inability to truly communicate with each other leads to tragedy Can they find a way back to be together Especially when there is a baby on the way I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book The Alpha s Bullied Pregnant Mate Starlight Valley Alphas 4 Wonderful second chance third chance paranormal romance The characters are 3 dimensional and well written the storyline continues from the previous books but stands alone as well Lot s of angst lust and snark with a bit of drama at the end 4 s The Alpha s Bullied Pregnant Mate Starlight Valley Alphas 4 Bullied mate pretend romance in Starlight Valley This was actually a cute romance where the bullying occurred in high school years ago But that bullying shaped the life of the female Isla The male Fannar is an alpha for one of the packs in the area and from what I can tell his friends are alphas too. Of note is the partially formed mate bond that needed to be dealt with and a truly horrible woman named Carla who basically insulted Isla to her face and Fannar did nothing to stop it Due to her continuing lack of self respect Isla ends up fleeing and leaves Fannar to waste away. His mother is pretty much unbearable in my opinion although I m sure others may find her OK and just being a good mom to her son In fact I figured he learned how to be a bully from her because she was really overbearing KU read I may check out other books in this series We ll see The Alpha s Bullied Pregnant Mate Starlight Valley Alphas 4 I wasn t a fan of Isla The Alpha s Bullied Pregnant Mate Starlight Valley Alphas 4 The Alpha s Bullied Pregnant MateAlexa Griffin dad a good job with this forth book in this series This one is was what I loved because be bullied her in school and bit her whole they were young adults He couldn t remember doing it but the bullying continued through mist of her life It mate you wife it they would ever figure it it This book is worth getting and reading They dad have their HEA though Get the series it is great Can t wait for book six The Alpha s Bullied Pregnant Mate Starlight Valley Alphas 4
