Prophecy’s Daughter By Teresa Howard
Prophecy’s daughterliness
From Emma s creation as a frozen embryo in a madman s lab on Earth to her reign as the High Priestess of Nellar on Aldebar she struggles to fulfill her destiny Gallandra proclaimed her the daughter of prophecy one sent to reconcile the peoples of Aldebar but Emma is too young to bear such responsibility and Galandra is no longer there to guide her To fulfill her destiny Emma must uncover secrets hidden from everyone except the High Priestess The Stones warn her that not all secrets are safe to tell What will happen if she shares the truth of their origins and their sins Will the people of Aldebar love her or hate her Will they embrace the truth or hate the messenger Not even the Stones with all their wisdom and power can guide her They fear the truth and have kept the secret and their part in it hidden for thousands of years Is it time to let the truth shine Prophecy s DaughterI received a review copy of this book. Prophecy’s daughterliness Prophecy s Daughter is the first in a series The story was ok but for the most part it really didn t interest me because there wasn t very much going on here Things happened and we d get an after action report telling us it happened but that s about the extent of the action in this story Honestly I didn t really care about any of the characters except for the main character up until she became the priestess after that she became a cardboard cutout doing what was expected and spending a lot of time moving from one place to another Scenes were described as taking hours but were set down in one or two sentences that didn t cover the time frameat all A conversation that took one or two paragraphs supposedly lasted 8 hours how nothing exciting happened and the entire book was written this way I can t really recommend this story except to those who really really like slice of life fantasy since this is basically a slice of life tale character went here did this moved along to the next place saw something or other then moved along again Not my kind of story but it could have been a considerably better story if it had been written in a different style I think Kindle Edition This story may not be for everyone particularly those seeking fast paced action or intricate plot twists It s akin to a slice of life fantasy where characters embark on a journey filled with everyday encounters and experiences While this style may not appeal to all readers those who appreciate a slower contemplative narrative may find it engaging. Prophecy’s daughterling However I couldn t fully connect with the story due to its minimalist approach Scenes that supposedly spanned hours were condensed into just a few sentences leaving me feeling detached from the characters and events Additionally the lack of significant developments or surprises throughout the book left me wanting depth and complexity. Prophecy’s daughterboard keyboard Despite my reservations I can see how younger readers particularly teens might enjoy the simplicity and straightforwardness of the storytelling However for older readers seeking substance and intrigue this may not be the ideal choice, Prophecy’s daughterboard keyboard I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Kindle Edition
