5 this was a great novella to accompany the series I really enjoyed seeing of Jonik and look forward to learning about Peter and the skulls 71 I just got this one for free and to be honest I d probably rate it 2. Jonicha consulting It was ok but it was confusing This world has shifters that can be multiple things at once The MC is a dragon AND a fox shifter which I thought was weird Overall the introduction to this whole universe where shifters and vampires exist but humans don t really know about them was too short It was too complicated to be explained in a book so short IMO and the same goes for Wren s situation The poor guy spent 3 years as a slave who was not even allowed to talk so his recovery is going to be a very complicated process Too complicated for a short story It deserved way time than that but also the progress should have been described in details We only get two weeks a month passed without Wren leaving the room but what happened during those weeks Was there a routine What did they do I would have loved to see them getting closer in a realistic way during those weeks.

Jonika lamba I don t think I ll read the next books 71 While I think the series is going to be in depth with graphic storylines this was an excellent beginning with what I perceived as a softer touch I know Jonik doesn t come off as soft to the world but he sure rocks it when it comes to Wren who needed his own Saviour 71 It was an interesting introduction to the World but it was too short to get to know the characters very much Wren also needs something than a mate to deal with everything he went through If the series is on KU I ll probably check out another book but I didn t fall in love with it like I d been hoping 71 Nah this book wasn t my type The story was dark and gloomy Wren s life was too messed up He was kidnapped and held captive for three years He became a blood slave for his kidnapper a vampire boss Not only did the vampire almost drain him countless times but he also became the bait used by the fighters to practice His life was a living hell filled with so much pain so it s no wonder if Wren ever thought that his death would be better than his life The following book will be about Daruss the leader of Dragon Skull MC It s not surprising if he will have two love interests his boy Jude and his fated mate since he has no problem sharing his boy in a threesome with Jonik 71 THis is the prequel of one of the MC read after book 1 Jonik is a joint dragon fox shifter He s sent in by his mysterious uncle to uncover a slave fight ring While gathering evidence he sees Wren a captive blood slave about to be used as bait for a crazed fighter and realizes he s his mate He kills the vamp takes out the bad guys and rescues Wren and takes him home to his parents house Wren hasn t really spoken for 3 years and is super afraid of everyone and everything He won t even speak to Jonik s parents or leave the room This is a short pre quel so I would have liked to see a bit of Wren s interactions with the MC once he finally agrees to go with Jonik to the club but it sets up the overarching theme of taking down the human traficking ring of book 1 and beyond I am curious about Jonik s family 71
