With some interesting questions about the nature of fear and vengeance English There are wheels within wheels and maybe they re finally beginning to turn I still don t think the writing and art and editing are doing justice to a story about lawlessness and a town forgotten by our heroes It s not doing justice to the concept of gang wars and what leads people down the dark path There s something different and innovative hidden under the poor execution of this story Case in point the book starts with a flashback to the Joker War where something bad happened to Omar Who the heck is Omar We find out he worked for Dana and now he s out to kill her Why Don t ask me And this stuff is revealed over panels of Jason and Carmen getting intimate My dude.

Book reddit C metro area site_link This book is fine I guess but it s not a Red Hood or even a Jason Todd book English DNF SERIES English ZERO STARS What the fuck was this Red Hood barely appeared His name is on the title right RIGHT Even if this wasn t a Red Hood story the only reason I m reading it it was so hard to follow Who is everyone It reads like I ve been exposed to these characters for years but I literally don t know a single persons name OR their name to their vigilante name Shits wild I probably won t read the next one English The Joker War may be over but that doesn t mean that fear and the lust for power don t persist in Jason Todd s old neighborhood known as The Hill Hard times make for hard people and no one listens to Jason s warnings in the second edition of Red Hood The Hill A better installment than the first what I know they re trying to do that tv thing where a sexy scene is intercut with something terrible but they don t get that right There is no poetry symmetry or sense to the execution of this book The only upside is that Jason Todd is paired up with a curvy Latina lady instead of the boring conventional women he usually gets stuck with I don t think it helps that the real protagonist of the story is Dana and not Red Hood who s name is on the title I don t know if I would have a problem with that if Dana wasn t so rashly written Why is she always racing into trouble solo and needing backup Why won t she let her team live their lives and start families She could and should take a step back and see how she can sustain the work of The Watch starting with Jason who s there to help Why be unnecessarily stupid and need rescuing when you literally have a whole team and a veteran vigilante to help you See this is what annoys me You want to introduce re introduce new characters but then you write them poorly and they annoy the readers Dana deserves better Her and Denise s rivalry doesn t make any sense I get Junior hating on Denise because he thinks she no longer cares about her people that s pretty typical of folks stuck in their small ponds while their neighbours become big fish elsewhere But Dana getting and staying mad with Denise makes little sense especially since Dana being the Watch is supposedly helping Denise and vice versa Don t get the hate for each other I feel like as this story goes along the threads will be tied to together but man it s going to be a slog to get there English 2. Book redemption 5 I wish Jason would actually be featured in his comic run that supposed to be about him a little Having him and Dana be childhood friends is a bit lazy as far as writing goes Jason didn t grow up on the hill so how do they know each other and by this point it s got to be on purpose that every single comic artist makes Jason look ugly asf every chance they get This comic has Jason mentoring new vigilantes so it s worth the read overall ig English I feel like this could be the kind of story that really appeals to someone but that someone isn t me And I know that it probably would have been basically impossible to launch this series as the story of a new character that Red Hood just makes appearances in but that is what it is Putting his name in the title just doesn t feel right when he s basically the third most important character in this book Maybe even the fourth He s not the one with first person narration boxes I know that this can be a storytelling device as Tom King likes to do but that s clearly not how it s being used here When Jason does appear the characterization doesn t really feel right I don t know when he became the kind of character that should be giving out advice He still hasn t figured himself out yet, Red hoodie Shawn has co created characters featured in the films Deadpool Justice League the animated Batman Gotham Knights and the FOX television series GOTHAM and The GIFTED.
