Site_link post a commentTrudy is about to celebrate her 40th birthday which is huge but with that comes thoughts about where your life is headed and choices you ve made Trudy s story is one that all mom s deal with how to balance career kids aging parents and a husband who doesn t help out as much as you need or want him to I enjoyed going on this journey with Trudy lots of laughs lots of personal reflection and pondering the age old question is the grass greener on the other side I really enjoyed this book and saw parts of me in Trudy s character a joy to read Yours Trudy If you re looking for a laugh out loud read look no further Between Trudy s obligatory cheerful work emails because she s Head of People Happiness yay and her mother s autocorrected text messages among other things this book really made me laugh than once and smile in amusement many other times But it s than just a funny story It has serious aspects too and really doesn t lack the substance needed to make the characters feel real. Book Yours, trudy's I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review Yours Trudy I have always loved to read romcoms and thrillers were not my cup of tea But people change and so did I and I started to read crime books than I did chiclit ones It s true what they say your first love never dies So from time to time I pick a romantic story and I still enjoy it thoroughly. Book Yours, trudy's I really really like this book There are so many things in it that made me laugh and Caroline our main character Trudy s mum was great She was my favourite character She was quirky and feisty and she shows that at 60 life is far from over. Yours, Trudy bookworm Sometimes love does not seem to be enough and there are a number of things that get on your nerves but sometimes you realise love is than enough and it s the most important thing The rest you can work around but if you let go of the love of your life it s makes the rest a lot harder too 5 starsThank you Gina Hollands and Ruby Fiction Yours Trudy Trudy Drinkwater is in charge of composing overly enthusiastic and motivating emails to her fellow employees If only there was someone who would do the same for her in her private life With a big birthday coming up two monosyllabic children and an almost ex husband Trudy feels her life is passing by When her shake up arrives it s completely unexpected and she s faced with serious decisions A great book entertaining and frequently amusing Yours Trudy When the head of people happiness is finding her own life sadly lacking on the happiness front the challenge is to keep smiling whilst working out what to do next And Trudy is facing this exact situation with all that life is throwing her way An ex 2 children and a mother who has turned up on the doorstep to stay with her a while it s fair to say Trudy is a woman after our own hearts Smiling through life when in reality she just wants to run away and hide And this connection with Trudy was a big highlight of the book for me The fact that day to day life throws different challenges your way and as Trudy is juggling changes at home she s facing new challenges at work and wondering if her head is going to explode as she doesn t seem to know what she really wants any This was a really fun and lighthearted book that shows how a new option thrown into the mix can give us back that spark that was missing Add to the mix the hilarious texts her mum sends Trudy the auto spelling is wonderful it just has a lovely feel to the story throughout You can laugh along with Trudy and also empathise with her despair and wonder if she is ready to face new things or maybe life is just meant to be forever chaotic and crazy Yours Trudy Trudy is head of HR at Pink Fish Web Design or to give her her official job title Head of People Happiness Following company policy she makes sure that her emails to her team are always full of enthusiasm and sprinkled liberally with plenty of exclamation marks Trudy s home life however doesn t fill her with quite so much joy She s separated from her husband and has two typical teens who are stroppy and fussy To add to her complicated life her mother announces she s coming to stay for two months. Book Yours, trudy's I think many people will like Trudy and identify with her constant struggle to balance home and work life looking after teens and also to a certain extent looking after her mother She is sad about the break up of her marriage but while she grew up her husband Carlton never quite seemed to mature They ran a water sports business together but an accident made going on the water something that Trudy used to live for become one of the last things she wanted to do. Yours, Trudy kindle app This is a book which is full of fun and will make you laugh out loud quite often I really enjoyed the evolving relationship between Trudy and mother Forced to start really communicating with each other while her mum stayed with her they became honest with each other and understood each other Her mother provided some of the funniest moments in the book notably with her text messages often helped by her grandson Dylan Well that s fabulous is all I m saying One of the main themes of the book is about finding what makes you happy and making sure you never let that go The scene when Trudy realises just what will make her happy and goes for it was wonderful a scene which put a big smile on my face I say yay for Trudy and her enthusiastic exclamation marks If you are looking for a book that will make you feel happy I give Yours Trudy a big thumbs up Yours Trudy I enjoyed this rom com set in an English seaside suburb Having grown up in a seaside town myself in Australia many of my books have a seaside setting too So I could relate although it always seemed to be winter in Trudy s town Lovely characters this is a good light read Yours Trudy This was delightful I ve been a bit off with romantic comedies just lately None seem to be grabbing me so I was very happy for one to change my mind and bring me a bit of joy I really enjoyed that this one is a bit different Rather than boy meets girl it s girl meets boy marries him decides it s not working then worries she made a huge mistake We re taken on along for the ride while she figures all this out. Yours, Trudy bookworm Yours Trudy is a quick read which packs a punch I loved every part from the simple and enjoyable plot to the wonderfully eclectic characters especially Trudy s mother my goodness I hooted with laughter at times in fact I was giggling away for most of the book But it s not all fun and games there is s series side to it too which really grabs at the heart Trudy could be any woman she could be someone you know or yourself she is so relatable and very real She does want she needs to keep her family happy and healthy everyone and everything comes before herselfI got to say how much I love Trudy s job title Head of People s Happiness why haven t I ever been a job with a People s Happiness department Obviously I have been in the wrong jobs But with change on the horizon Trudy s life is just about to get a lot complicated with Pink Fish the company she works for being sold off to an American company called Yellow Panda Her marriage is going all wrong as she is now estranged from her husband her children are battling her at every turn usually over chicken nuggets and last but by no means least her mither unexpectedly arrives on her doorstep who knows how she will be staying for. Yours, Trudy kindle cloud Could anything else be piled on to our Trudy s shoulders Oh yes let s add in the drop dead gorgeous CJ from the new company who just happens to look like Barack Obama with an irresistible smile Well that has thrown the cat amongst the pigeon s and has complicated the hell out of Trudy s already chaotic life What will she do Well I am not going to tell you but I will say that the journey to uncomplicate her life is fabulous I discovered Gina Hollands last year and instantly I fell in love with her heart warming stories I love her light and feel good writing which takes hold of you and I can t wait to read from her. Book Yours, trudy's Yours Trudy is a great book to unwind with it will leave you feeling uplifted it s joyful and full of happiness and laughter With character s which grasp your attention from page one a fast and witty plot and superb writing this is an all around winner Yours Trudy
