Why the fallen book Since most of the other agents suspect Bennet he has made it his personal agenda to expose the Shepherd before it s too late Hindering his plans is Collin his twin brother who is trying to get him to join the Shepherd and gain his freedom Bennet is torn between loyalty to his family and the organization that raised him With danger everywhere Bennet and the other agents must work together to stop the Shepherd before everything collapses around them. Book the fallen within book Even though I haven t read the first two novels in the series I was drawn to this one because of the concept of young agents in training by a shady organization with sinister plans of their own Not only is Bennet trying to survive surrounded by spies undercover assignments and violence but he is also coming of age and trying to understand the world around him while dealing with family issues a budding romance and questionable friendships After reading the first chapter that has Bennet on an undercover assignment to retrieve Darcy I was hooked and wanted to find out what other training these young agents are going through There is enough backstory on the Orphanage and the various characters to make sure I wasn t completely lost in this novel. Down with the fallen With a combination of suspense action and character exploration this action adventure novel is an exciting read Written from the first person point of view through Bennet s eyes it has intense action sequences especially towards the end while giving readers insights into the protagonist s internal struggles The unexpected twists and turns keep readers guessing about loyalties and the characters are well developed especially Bennet whose vulnerabilities make him relatable The language is descriptive especially when describing the characters accompanied by a smile of her own that could make flowers grow in winter. Falling with style S Twells is good as a stand alone novel making it accessible to newcomers Though aimed at young readers by exploring the themes of family friendship resilience and free will it resonates with all ages It is a must read for readers who enjoy fast paced thrillers with emotional depth and complex characters The lights from the Orphanage were too far away for me to see though my eyes had adjusted enough for me to see directly in front of me If someone had been waiting for me in the bushes I wouldn t have been able to tell It didn t matter No one could catch me now English It s been so nice seeing this story develop and I can t wait to read the next one All the twist and turns at the end had me literally shaking lol I love this series and almost all the characters so much Thank you for sharing this world with us R.
