All is fair in love and the pear pie wars Tori Bevan must have heard her grandmother say that phrase times than she could count growing up on Bevan Pear Farms Every year Grandma Bevan went for the coveted Clarksville Pear Festival Best Pear Pie award And every year she d lose to Ben Holden the owner of Holden Acres another pear farm and her enemy for over seventy years Tori believes this year she has the blue ribbon in the bag Only one problem stands in her way Dane Holden Ben s grandson waltzing back in town much to Tori s disliking Dane Holden never had an interest in his grandparent s pear farm He moved away a long time ago with no plans to ever go back to his small hometown However after a couple of poor business deals leave the young entrepreneur jobless and homeless he has no choice but to say yes when his grandpa asks him to come home for the festival Just when the sparks begin to fly between Tori and Dane Dane s past comes back to haunt him throwing a curve ball in Tori s plans for the festival and contest Will the Holden s claim another coveted blue ribbon or will a new champion reign over this year s festival Love and the Pear Pie Wars Love and the Four Seasons Spring Welcome to my little corner of the internet So who am I Well it s quite simple actually Of course first and foremost I m a wife and mother However along with those two hats I m also a Sweet Historical and Contemporary Romance author who writes in her fuzzy pants and loves her horses and her cats Love historical romance Well then strap on those petticoats travel back in time and go on adventures with my sweet Historical Romances Not feeling historical today I have a few sweet Contemporary Romances too And if you are looking for something with a little heat not too much but smooching and some fade to black scenes then check out my titles written under the name Angela Christina ArcherA perfectly fine hallmark movie of a book The writing felt clunky in spots and the story was rushed but it was an enjoyable palette cleanser for sure English This is a sweet story of high school sweethearts Tori and Dane that were in love and engaged until Dane decided he would take a job in the city 4 hours away This broke Tori s heart and they didn t see each other or speak for a few years Tori lives with her Grandma Rose and Dane had lived with his Grandpa Ben Both families raise pear trees and participate in the Pear Pie Wars each year where pies are baked and judged at a festival Ben has won every year and Rose is determined to beat him Ben has used Dane s pie recipe each year winning Tori loves the small town and living with her grandma She just not that great at making pie crusts and Rose has never let Tori try her own recipe which Tori is very much wanting to test Now Tori and Dane are in their late 20 s and Dane loses his job as well as his apartment and Grandpa Ben calls at just the right time to ask Dane to please come home and help he s broken a leg and cannot do what needs to be done for baking pies and selling the pears Dane comes home and Grandma Rose is determined to have Tori get the recipe for Dane s pie hoping they can win the contest Rose is adamant about not speaking to Ben could there be a history there Read this lovely story to find out what happens expected and unexpected with the Pear Pie Wars English This book was okay but it could have been better Just didn t feel like there was any meat to it It was kinda cute for what it was though I could read it again if I had to English I really enjoyed reading Love and the Pear Pie Wars and I d highly recommend checking it out English Love and the Pie Pear Wars by London James is a fun and sweet second chance romance Tori and Dane are high school sweethearts who broke up a decade ago After Dane loses his job and his apartment in the big city he comes back to help his grandpa run their family pear farm Tori never left home and lives with her grandma Rose and brother Briggs on their own family pear farm As the town gears up for the annual Pear Festival and Pear Pie Wars baking contest Rose instructs her on how to make a pear pie Unfortunately Tori s efforts fall short so when Rose finds out that Dane is making sought after pear pies at Briggs s caf she sends Tori down there to observe and steal his recipe Tori ever a good sport goes to the caf only to find that she actually enjoys spending time with Dane This book is full of twists and turns If you enjoy second chance romances I highly recommend Love and the Pie Pear Wars English
