Mariology Overall a nice Read English What a fascinating story written part through scripture and part through imagination of the woman who is worshiped through religion but apart from being Jesus mother very little is known of her life and I really enjoyed learning and seeing photos of the various locations from the story it made the whole thing feel poignant English I enjoyed this book The author used a real life story and retold it in a unique way The conversation on each page will keep you drawn in from the beginning Mary s story is unique and worth the read English When I read this short story.

I found that I didn t really connect with Mary as I would like to connect with a character Typically I form images in my mind of the character s appearance and behaviour In this case I didn t and instead my mind just provided Mary with a voice. Maryzender rodriguez melgarejo This isn t really the type of book that I would choose for myself and not the type of book that I would read again but it was clear that Mary went on a journey both physically and emotionally that she wanted to share with the reader I appreciated the opportunity to read about her journey English This is a unique book that tells a fictional version based on biblical events of Mary and her life during the time she gave birth to Christ and thereafter It begins by her telling her story to the physician Luke and describes how events occurred and how she felt about it It s an easy and enjoyable read although a work of fiction It is difficult to know anything other than she was a servant of God and was chosen by him for a divine purpose The thoughts and opinions of Mary and her descriptions of the events definitely have a modern flavor I found myself wondering if that is how a woman in the 1st century would have thought and felt but that isn t here nor there English In this fictionalized story Luke from the Gospels is interviewing Mary Mother of God Mary describes what it was like for Gabriel to tell her what was about to happen up until the days following the crucifixion of Christ I was raised Catholic and have doubts that Mary and Joseph had other children but they are mentioned several times throughout the book There have been times that I believed he did have brothers but the mention of a sister named Salmone sp threw me because I know her as a cousin and not a sibling I do not believe it would be God s desire for Jesus to have a bloodline but I really don t know and this is just a personal opinion Therefore I gave the book four stars because it made me think I really know nothing about what happened to Mary after the death of Jesus other than she went to live with John so it s possible that the rest of the story is close to the truth I am a huge fan of the TV series The Chosen and I enjoy narrative versions of the Bible such as this It makes it easier to understand and as I stated before it makes you think I especially liked the pictures that were included from the author along with the captions English Let me start by saying that the 4 stars are only because of the length of this book I wish Mary Intimate Witness to God s Love Incarnate by Louis McCall would ve been much extensive.
