Night Blooming JasmineThis picture book was very unique It told the sotry of the noises at night as a little girl awakes and explores around her As you read the imagery of Jasmine moving through the night is well done as you feel like you are moving with her I found it interesting to use the little girl as a way to explore the sounds and images of a moonlit night very different from what I am used to Illustrations are also done well and are pleasant to look at This would be a good book to read to children for bedtime but would be cautioned to tell them that they are to be careful and safe at night I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book provided by the publisher via NetGalley All thoughts and opinions are my own. Book Night Blooming jasmine flower For reviews and discussions listen to my podcast The Honest Book Reviewers with Nate and Emma 32 This is a story of a little girl who wanders around at night and the things that she sees The story has an OK cadence and rhymes decently well It is overly long It seems to go on longer than a sleepless night The illustrations are beautiful with a soft light quality that are a great match to the story I just wish the story was a tad bit shorter 32
