Book Tangled fated 5 Rounded up to 4 The story was overall enjoyable but the editing of the version I read was quite horrendous which detracted SO much from the story and made this way of a slog read than it could should have been Alex is recovering from an injury but also has quite the bad reputation with the media Jane is hired as his assistant and fake girlfriend As they spend time together to get to know each other before revealing the fake relationship and starting with the plan to improve Alex s reputation the both realise that they actually quite like each other for real And as they navigate the process of their fake relationship and their plan to fix Alex s image the have to work through their individual issues that are preventing them from moving forward with their relationship for real and not just for show And then things go according to the original plan before they can work things out and Jane walks away making Alex realise even how much he wants needs her in his life and he proceeds to do what is needed to keep Jane as his for their HEA For a short story the character development and timeline is done well and you don t feel like you re missing anything So as mentioned in the beginning this could be a really enjoyable read if it is edited properly to make reading smoother and enjoyable and not detracting from the actual story. Tangled fates I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review Kindle Edition This very short sports romance is about injured ice hockey player Alex who is resuming his game after being out of action for a year He also has a bit of a reputation so he is set up with a fake girlfriend and assistant Jane to help him out for a few weeks There wasn t a lot of character or story development and the two main characters almost seem to fall into bed without much preamble or romance which I think should have been detailed It was a nice short story but the book would have been rounded with an extra chapter before they got together with the author building their characters or leading them into the next step of their relationship.I rate this book 3.75 Kindle Edition
