The Timothy Challenge is a 5 week devotional for younger Christians or anyone who wants to read it Our goal is to take biblical examples and through the power of the Holy Spirit help to show you how these stories can help you begin to understand the process of being an example to your generation We hope that you will be able to take these devotionals and begin to apply them immediately to your life and begin to understand how to look at scripture through the lens of a young believer Some stories are meant to inspire some are meant to cause self examination and others intense moments of surrender and renewal However all are meant to challenge you to understand that one of the most important things a young Christian can do after surrendering their heart and life to Jesus Christ is to be a godly example for the world Before Joshua could lead the people of Israel after Moses death he had to be an example to the Israelites and gain their respect Joshua 1 Before Simon could become Peter and be the rock of the early church he had to be an example before his fellow 11 apostles and gain their loyalty Before Paul could become an apostle of the early church and one of the greatest missionaries in the history of the Christian faith he had to be an example to the early church leaders and gain their trust We truly believe in young people and their importance in God s Kingdom We also believe that if young people understand how to be and set an example first they will be able to understand better how to be leaders and world changers later We pray that the Timothy Challenge can help you understand how to set an example of Christian living for the world to see and follow The Timothy Challenge 5 Week Devotional Challenging Young People to Set an Example for their Generation.
