Love \u0026 Lattes: A Romantic Tale of Love, Hope, and New Beginnings in Willowbrook By Remy Sinclair
This is a VERY sweet and wholesome story Think Hallmark movie anything on the UP channel in book form Are there cheesy moments Absolutely but it is cute as all heck There is quite a twist as well that I was not expecting and was pretty impressive Appropriate for someone who wants clean soft romance and a feel good story and who is open to reading about faith and religion not shoved in your face but visible This would be the perfect book for a church group book club The first two pages feel magical but I will say pages 1 13 are basically the same description repeated over and over If you get through that the story does start though Thank you to the Author Publisher and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review Love u0026 Lattes A Romantic Tale of Love Hope and New Beginnings in Willowbrook DNF at 12%I was skimming most of the pages so it was time to DNF This book is remarkably badly written Every single piece of the story is described Every person every blade of grass it all sounds like a children s book And most children s book are even better written Nope nope nope this is not the book for me I m going to go enjoy other ones. This book was provided to me by Netgalley Love u0026 Lattes A Romantic Tale of Love Hope and New Beginnings in Willowbrook I gave this book a fair shot because of the eARC via NetGalley But it was obvious from the first chapters that it is just badly written Every little step and thought is described It felt childish to have to read about the details of the environment Claire and David It went on and on without much happening It also didn t help that the author used Claire s full name to start a chapter after at least five chapters being with Claire It was all being too easy and weird for me Love u0026 Lattes A Romantic Tale of Love Hope and New Beginnings in Willowbrook I want to express my gratitude to NetGalley and the author for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book While I ultimately gave it a 3 star rating which is considered average it must be noted that my initial hesitation stemmed from the fact that the book was written in third person Third person narratives are not usually my preferred style of writing however I found the descriptive elements of this book to be quite engaging Love u0026 Lattes A Romantic Tale of Love Hope and New Beginnings in Willowbrook As previous reviews have said this book is verbose and overly descriptive I think it could easily be shortened by 50 pages just by taking out the repetitive descriptions and unnecessary details I understand the idea of world building and wanting to immerse readers in a story but I found myself drowning in the lengthy sentences about hair color and types of coffee Of course if I drank coffee maybe that would make a difference That being said I very much appreciated this book s Christian themes The story is a cozy one and I truly think this book could be vastly improved with a little editing I will keep my eye out for from this author Love u0026 Lattes A Romantic Tale of Love Hope and New Beginnings in Willowbrook
