Good drama from the family and the rather unpleasant ex and a good amount of heat For me Jackson Deckers son stole the show along with the rescue dog Muddy Great touch and an amazing epilogue Chloe del Rey This book has a cast of characters to keep up with Decker and Lita have to deal with family members and a large group of friends that take away from their story The book is full of sparky conversations and advise from friends and family Due to the list of secondary characters there are parts of the story that are overlooked I loved Jackson Decker s son who is a scene stealer with his puppy Muddy I enjoyed the H h getting together but wish the ending had resolved some of the untold parts. Damaged single dad book I received an ARC copy for free and this is my voluntary review Chloe del Rey Great book A wonderful story It was a page turner and the suspense was intense I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn t put it down Decker and Lita romance was like a romance relationship was like a roller coaster ride with a spark of feelings Things was heating up between them and the physical attraction and the chemistry was off the charts It was mind blowing of drama The temptation between them was so hard to fight the urge of pleasure and romance I highly recommend this book and you won t be disappointed I received an advance review copy for free.

Damaged single dad book I enjoyed how the author conveyed the feelings of Decker about how hesitant he was when starting a relationship with his best friend s sister Especially since he had a son to think of But I didn t like how he kept thinking that Lita was a spoiled brat and how he kept making it the point of every conversation between them.

I think that was the point One other thing I didn t like about the book was the intervention scene why wasn t that resolved How was it resolved In the epilogue we see everyone gathering to celebrate and everything is water under the bridge but why weren t we there when it happened Isn t that the whole point of Lita s character development The whole reason for her to run away was that she was being forced by her family to do things she wasn t passionate about and let s not forget how they wanted her to pose half naked and be happy about it even when she felt uncomfortable and when we finally get the intervention for a conversation about it all.

You would definitely need to be into this type of book to enjoy it Their relationship was frustrating but in a good way I know that doesn t make much sense but it the only was I can really describe it The brother s best friend trope can be like this and I have read books that lean into this side of the genre before which didn t make a lot of sense I think Chloe author really showed us important points to consider when pairing two unlikely characters Decker already forms an opinion of Lita before getting to know the adult version Lita doesn t seem to moved on from a previous childhood crush which definitely sparked a lot of tension between them We do get to see the support system they have built from themselves which I wish we got of There was a lot of side characters in the book which left a lot of things open ended which is possible leading to a standalone series Though the ending felt a little rushed I think it s fitting for the couple as they both are very much all or nothing Which shows how good they are together.
