Two strongly written MCs battered badly by life and feeling as if they are beyond hope the type of characters this author writes so well were no exception here Their interactions with Finn and Brandon from the previous books in this series were interesting although sometimes I thought that poor Finn had been through than enough agony already without adding even here The extra happy ending Finn received at the end of this book felt somehow of a highlight than that of Holden and Tyler Somehow I didn t feel the same connection with these two MCs which I usually experience but it was a very worthwhile addition to this series nevertheless Romance Fiction Gay and Lesbian Scarlett knows how to write about broken and damaged men down at their worst with no hope of climbing out Holden and Tyler were no different bringing their broken souls together and igniting a fire between them that neither thought they deserved And apparently Holden s age never appeared to be an issue so that was definitely a plus I m not entirely sure how to feel about Finn and Brandon s appearances in this book Don t get me wrong it was great reading they were still holding strong after everything they went through previously But poor Finn he s so broken and keeps getting jabs at him from beyond the grave And Brandon what an amazing partner he has with this guy As a whole I loved Tyler and Holden s relationship though I just didn t feel as connected as I normally do with Scarlett s other characters And only she would be able to bring the only two stamp lovers together out of anyone else what were the odds There were a couple times I didn t feel their connection nor chemistry which is quite unusual but it was still amazing Romance Fiction Gay and Lesbian This is the fourth book in the Clear Water Creek series and I am so happy to be back there and see Finn and Brandon again I really enjoyed this age gap hurt comfort read about Holden and Tyler It didn t have the same kind of feel to me as the first three books but still so good and I would love Romance Fiction Gay and Lesbian
