Such a pleasure to read this story by a friend from long ago The characters felt authentic and relatable and the story line kept me turning pages Feeding my family kept getting in the way of finishing sooner As an adoptive mom of two I particularly appreciated that this story didn t paint adoption or its many layers and ripples as a purely feel good experience We are all too flawed for that It was refreshing to read about the doubts insecurities and mistakes that are part of life for each member of this story s adoption constellation,
