LIFEline (LIFEline #1) By James Belmont

Lifeliner.4 After being medically discharged from the British Military due to cancer James moved into the commercial world working for some of the biggest tech business in the world These broad experiences and his love for technology and philosophy inspired the LIFEline series. Lifeline pfp osu Promising start to a series LIFEline like most good Sci fi stories is a commentary on modern society In this case it s about the pervasiveness of social media and how we can surrender ourselves to the companies behind the services LIFEline is also a crime story I m not a fan of stories that switch between murder and detective This didn t change my view but other readers might not be bothered by that At times it seemed like the killer had plot armor and that bothered me The world building really saves this story and by the end the main characters for a continuation are established enough to make me interested in the sequels Overall I recommend this book as an intriguing dystopian crime story Kindle Edition When I started Lifeline the beginning line immediately grabbed my attention I found it intriguing leaving me with several fresh questions swirling around in my mind The author did an excellent job shuffling between each of the character s points of view The futuristic world James Belmont created was frighteningly scary and I wouldn t be surprised if we had a similar future based on this book I found myself questioning each character I read about trying to figure out who would be the perfect murderer for our crime And in the end my original belief of one character being behind it all slowly disappeared as evidence pointed to another character And my favorite character in this book is Rachel I loved her response to the world at the end of the book and I wouldn t change anything about her response Although I was taken about by her choice I did agree with her reasoning as it was a logical one With everything said and done I give this book all FIVE stars If I could I could most definitely rate it higher Kindle Edition My expectations for this one were HIGH I m so glad that it lived up to it. Lifeline exercise pdf If John Marrs the one the passengers wore to have a baby it would be lifeline Kindle Edition Excellent book left me waiting for the next one Kindle Edition Right off the bat LIFEline reminded me of The One by John Marrs This story imagines a not far off future where most people live their life online using a service called LIFEline This service has helped eliminate most socioeconomic and international issues like crime access to education illness and war The trade off is a closely monitored world that is experienced almost exclusively through VR When LIFEliners start to be murdered it becomes clear the killer knows the LIFEline system so well they are already inside the system Following a LIFEline user outsiders who are underground and the law enforcement type workers of LIFEline who are racing to stop the murderer LIFEline is a quick read with a modern Law and Order feel In SciFi fashion Belmont uses the story to make thoughtful and interesting observations on the realities of a world that is always connected online LIFEline is a strong start for the series Kindle Edition

In a technologically advanced society someone is doing the seemingly impossible getting away with murder In a future London that could be where LIFEline is everywhere keeping us safe and helping us live our lives one person is using the same technology to end lives Will those trying to catch our murderer be successful Can they end his spree before he kills again In a battle of wits failure may result in than just lost lives We may lose the entire technologically advanced society we have come to love LIFEline is the first book in James Belmont s LIFEline series a world where technology has evolved and humans had a choice to go with it or find a different path A lot of things will be familiar and a lot may surprise you:
