Mourning becomes electra characters I ve watched Harry Thurgood coffee shop owner extraordinaire and the Reverend Ember Cole s relationship grow from acquaintance to friendship to possibly ever since they came to life in the first book of the series Death Wears a Crimson Hat The will she or won t she aspect of their relationship kept me feeling a bit sorry for Harry and his unrequited love for Ember But as we find out in this book Harry s patience finally pays off Ember has agreed to marry him Unfortunately someone is on a killing spree and the police led by a determined Detective Reece Sovern are accusing the happy couple of murder And now Harry and Ember will need to clear their names and help catch the actual killer before they can really embrace true marital bliss This is a terrific story that goes deep into a side of Ember we haven t seen before We ve been teased with secrets of a past life kept by both Harry and Ember throughout the series But when it becomes clear that Mary Lou Fight has discovered the reverend s secret past she has no choice but to share it with her husband her church and ultimately the town.
