Is a wonderful protagonist full of energy and enthusiasm tempered by the confusion and nervousness of somebody who has been thrown into a magical world after moving across the country The other core characters that make up her newfound friend group are portrayed beautifully and every single one has their own depth and individuality that makes you root for them and understand them in their own way. The heir of swansgrover family I would put The Heir of Swansgrove with the likes of Bartimaeus or Eragon those books are very dear to my heart so that s about the highest praise I can give Paperback This was a great YA novel Throughout the book.

Thoroughly enjoyable read The character development is so complete and interesting Adults will enjoy this read It is refreshing and captivating Great new author I am waiting for Book 2 Paperback As a 31 year old woman I sometimes struggle with YA novels but the way this was written immediately captured my attention. The heir of swansgrovew pdf The magic seen primarily through the lens of Acacia s training and in battle with the antagonists is straightforward enough to pick up while having its own fun martial art based flavor that I had a wonderful time with It makes for some excellent visuals and the magical fight scenes play out like a movie in your head The Heir of Swansgrove s biggest strength in my eyes is the characters Acacia the FMC we get to follow the adventures of Acacia and her newfound friends in a small town of Pennsylvania Shortly after Acacia moves back to PA she finds out that she is a mage from a long lost bloodline and is destined to be the Heir of Swansgrove Throughout the book we get to see the development of Acacia s character as well as the development of AJ and Alex s characters her best friends However by the ending we see that not all has been wrapped up with a nice bowas it seems as though Dionera though I m not so sure has been defeated that Sisyphus is still out there scheming Excited to get to read book 2 whenever that gets released and strongly encourage reading this when it comes out on March 5th Paperback I haven t read a YA book in quite a while and I am so glad I picked this one up I had been struggling with a reading slump and this book was exactly what I needed It was a great refresh and lighter in content than my typical read but that doesn t mean it didn t have action and deeper themes I don t want to say too much so as not to spoil anything however I did enjoy the mental health rep that was touched on throughout the book and think it is so important to show these things in books for our youth because as someone who struggled with depression and anxiety starting in eighth grade it would have helped me significantly to see that discussed in the books that I read. The heir of swansgrovew pdf All the characters in this book have so much heart Our three main characters instantly grabbed my attention and each for different reasons I related to FMC Acacia for being sassy speaking her mind and being the girl that was always friends with the boys MMC twins AJ and Alex are both loveable for very different reasons Alex is overtly friendly welcoming and like the typical older twin poking his brother every chance he gets AJ is broody mysterious and all you want to do is hug him and help mend his soul Or at least that is all I want to do because that type of boy is exactly my type. The heir of swansgrovep swansgrove park And I haven t even gotten into the fact that this is a fantasy novel filled with a secret world of mages magic and a very interesting villain Author Katie Pritchett has done something unique here and without giving spoilers all I will say is she has managed to take very real life struggles and real world issues and put them into an exciting YA novel that will suck you in keep you guessing and thirsting for I will have to tell my impatient mind to simmer down because I am dying to know what is to come next. The heir of swansgrove kindle edition As much as I LOVED all the magic and the world she built my favorite part of this novel was how Katie made me feel like I was a teenager again It put me back into those times that although sometimes difficult for me because of my mental health were still some of my favorite years It made me remember building new friendships understanding my relationships with both friends and crushes It made me relive my first real crush and that is such an amazing feeling A good author can make you feel those deep emotions they pull on your heartstrings and that is what was done here A lot of heart swirled up in magical lore with a dash of action and my personal fav teenage angst Sign me up for book two Paperback
