Nemesis and the vault of lost time book summary PJ Davis gives us a rollicking good adventure I love the mechanism he created for the otherworldly bad guys to steal time from humans Let s just say Max s tendency to sneeze in bright sunlight comes in handy. Nemesis and the vault of lost time kindle unlimited Derek and Samantha Sam are wonderful as Max s best friends and companions in adventure They ring true to the middle grade kids I know the boys sometimes rush into situations where common sense might tell them otherwise and the girl has a little maturity and ability to stop and think Sam s logical reasoning gets the trio out of a jam or keeps them out of one than once. Nemesis and the vault of lost time book pdf There are allies in unexpected places tight spots that you aren t sure how our heroes will get past and plenty of action to engage even the most reluctant reader My younger son in particular would have loved this book a few years ago His tastes have changed and he s into manga now Five years ago he would have been all about this And does Max find his father Do the kids save the day and the world I m not telling Grab a copy of the book and find out Highly recommended for middle grades and up and advanced upper elementary readers would probably be fine too. There are a lot of apocalyptic type stories that have been written but I have to say none are quite so clever as this one In NEMESIS AND THE VAULT OF LOST TIME three kids must battle against a horde of evil monsters who are slowly stealing time from humans until they have enough time to break through into our world for good If the kids don t make it in time there will be a true apocalyptic event the world will never recover from Along the way they ll encounter strange creatures puzzles and traps that are trying to stop them from finding the Vault of Lost Time Will they be on time for once PJ Davis weaves an excellent story in NEMESIS AND THE VAULT OF LOST TIME The characters are fun and engaging and there is plenty of action fantasy the kind of mystery I love in a book Davis often uses mystery as a tool to introduce ideas and glimpses of things that left me wanting from the story in a good way I wanted to explore even of these worlds that Davis has created. Nemesis and the vault of lost timeman The characters are also not obnoxious or pointless Sometimes when authors put together a cast to go on a quest together some characters are left behind but not here The main four are all important to the plot and all have a part to play that is uniquely their own Plus Davis has created one of my new most favorite sidekick characters Humphries I won t say anything else about Humphries because I don t want to give anything away but Humphries was definitely a highlight for me There is a National Treasure or Da Vinci Code vibe woven into this story that was also a lot of fun involving ancient manuscripts and historical events that Davis uses to explain what is happening in the story world Sometimes the characters are in places where they have to puzzle their way through an obstacle and those moments especially reminded me of Brandon Mull s often clever way of using challenges to obstruct the characters and force them to make tough decisions.
