Rookie days schwaz com site_link The Sequel to HEART OF DUTY Rookie detective Ellie James always wanted to be a cop Being promoted to a special crimes unit under her mentor Quinn Wesley is a dream come true But when a job brings her face to face with past trauma Ellie realizes that she has a lot to prove Following the brutal rape and murder of two local women and recognizing a kindred spirit in Ellie Quinn offers her a chance to do it by putting her in charge of the investigation Janet Fox gifted neurosurgeon and equally skilled lover in her time is done with meaningless affairs And when an injured Ellie shows up in the ER one day sparks fly that she cannot ignore Janet is older beautiful and a lethal distraction Ellie doesn t need As their attraction grows so does danger A killer is on the loose and coming for them Rookie Days Duty Series Book 2 I loved the idea in this story not being too pushy about how the sexual casual of the two wasn t being seen to be a slut and or less just uses sex as a crutch for her stressful job as a OR Trauma surgeon as a release of it and she eventually realizes that the younger detective can be that constant love in her life She can be that someone special who is much than a quick hookup Despite some of the unsettling stuff and demented case that Ellie is working on the lead of this case she realizes that Jan Fox might somehow be at the center of it all with a former trainee and colleague who may want to get back at her It s up to Ellie to solve the case put the evil man behind bars and all the while figure out how to keep the woman the headstrong smart and fiery Dr Fox who she s slowly but surely falling for safe from danger English Good follow up Loved the way the characters from Nook 1 were involved and their relationship has progressed Yes definitely read Book 1 first but recommended English Disappointing book Natalie is capable of writing a good thriller but this is not it She s so intent on the romance that than half the book is simply that far really the constant misuse of uh huh where she writes huh uh and uh when she means huh is so distracting that it s annoying as she uses them both incorrectly so often The story well make up your mind if you re writing a lesbian romance or a police thriller do that one at a time they simply do not fit together in one muddled book This is 60% lusting and 20% police procedural the rest is just out of place filler She was so much consistent in her earlier works I m love to see in science fiction realm because I m not reading another like this English action packed Duty Series book 2 did not disappoint It s just as good as the first if not better Had me gripped from the start and turning the pages like a mad woman. Book Rookie dayscafe The main characters are two people we have met before even with that it was great to follow them through the struggle that is everyday life of a police detective and surgeon With the bad guy getting too close for comfort it shows just how much one of the characters has changed from the beginning I m trying not to give anything away which would be so easy It s such a riveting read that I just want to mention certain things but I won t We get to spend time with the original pairing as well and they are just as in love and supporting as before Hopefully that trend continues if we get books in this series English What an intense book As a nurse myself it had me on edge With the rape and murder of two nurses Ellie a detective trying to figure out who the culprit behind these brutal attacks are Quinn from the previous book and her wife Lia make appearances in the book which make me very happy because I loved them With Ellie s past no family terrible PTSD and a woman who never thought she would have a person meets Janet a neurosurgeon at the hospital where the nurses worked They clicked instantly and it made my heart sore Because Janet in the first book was a bit of a player I couldn t put this book down English

Fantastic Another awesome book by Natalie Debrabandere I look forward to reading each new book she releases and Rookie Days did not disappoint It was fast pace captivating and I loved how fierce Ellie s feeling were for Janet English Rookie Detective New Detective Ellie is now on Lieutenant Quinn Westley s Special Crime Squad After raiding a brothel searching for three kidnapped children she chased a suspect down and beat him badly Allowed to return to duty she gets her first case a murder of a nurse Dr Fox a neurosurgeon and friend of Quinn becomes a help in the case A sapphic emergency responder thriller Great author English I really enjoyed this follow up to Heart of Duty We get to revisit old friends while focusing on Ellie and Janet The plotting is excellent with some real angst and the ending is shocking and really well written. Rookie Days book I went back and started rereading the first book as I wanted to spend a bit time with these characters English Power CoupleJanet and Ellie are a wonderful duo Ellie the police detective and Janet the surgeon find love while in the midst of Ellie working to find a rapist and murderer The love expressed between them is awe inspiring The police procedure and action moves the story along I hope there will be books in the Duty Series English Very good bookI enjoyed this book I couldn t put it down and when I did I wanted to get back to it love the characters the story line was great Can t wait can t wait for the next book I hope there will be another English .
