Gone with the pearlsling I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review Nancy Pennick Being a mom to two 18 year old twins is hard enough but throw in a murder that needs to be solved and Serena is up to her neck balancing family romance and sleuthing There were twists and turns with many suspects and motives This was an enjoyable cozy mystery that can be read as a standalone Nancy Pennick They might be old but one of these ex cheerleaders is a murderess Another case lands at Serena s feet but this time Nina is the main no only suspect She found an old cheering frenemy s bloody corpse outside her home so of course the cops think she did it An entire cheer squad with long memories and short fuses will be under Serena s watchful eye though No way did one of her most favored friends commit this atrocity Another great mystery that has twists and turns galore masterfully navigated by a great cast of characters The victim was definitely not beloved and maybe she did deserve a little comeuppance But fifty years later That is serving revenge not just cold but on ice.
