Into the wild warrior cats This book is perfect for you if you like YA teen fantasy books with a splash of romance Girl power coming of age story where she must grapple with her ever warring emotions Interesting fantasy world with battling clans unknown magical forces and a wolfie best friend Multiple love interests who strive for her attentionFaryn definitely struggles with her romantic interests in this book sometimes appearing as if her feelings sway with the wind I m definitely a fan of one in particular who likes to whisper forbidden things in her ear If you want me to take your breath away all you have to do is ask Faryn s little wolf friend is my favorite part of this book Their friendship is absolutely precious and seeing Faryn care for him when any other person would leave him to die absolutely melted my heart I can t wait to see of them in book 2 The story ends in a way that will make you excited to read the next book but fortunately there isn t a horrible cliffhanger Great debut book by Jo and Rhae Spice 1 5 Fantasy I want to start by saying the author s book aesthetic reels are what first grabbed my attention to this story and that they 10000% fit and sell this book so well What it s about In a land cursed to forget its heritage a young girl rises to break the curse cast generations ago. Into the wild udaipur Faryn has always felt an affinity to the wilds she grew up nearby After an encounter she thought could only exist in legends a series of events completely upends the life she knew She must leave the place she s always called home after a terrible attack Before she can even begin to grieve and heal Faryn finds herself caught in something far larger than herself What to expect Enemies becoming friends Friends becoming enemies Political schemes and betrayals A FMC losing and finding herself Romance that you ll be dying to see of in future works I know I am Magic curses Mythical creatures Travel Chosen One Animal companions Mental health rep My thoughts While this is a slower paced read I devoured it in large chunks because of the anticipation to see what happened next The Wolf pup animal companion had me sold already but the mystery twists action banter and tension had me glued to my kindle Faryn is such a wonderfully developed character You won t always love her or everything she does but it fits so well with the fact she s grieving so much I also loved the side characters and felt that their character development was so well done I wasn t expecting Edan s storyline AT ALL I can t wait to see how that progresses in future works. Super apple into the wild Overall Into the Wilds is a journey worth taking If you re a fan of slow burns found families and epic quests then this book is definitely worth adding to your reading list Fantasy Thank you Jo for allowing me to ARC read this 5 Into the Wilds by Jo Peek is an exciting and adventurous story of a strong female discovering herself as the world seems to fall apart around her Faryn experiences friends to enemies and enemies to lovers sort of briefly I hope we see lovers in book 2 The book is inspired by Viking and Celtic culture and is well done The world building is also done very well The book contains adventure the start to a found family mythical creatures self discovery and slow burn I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book but I did feel like certain spots dragged on a little than others like where Faryn Edan Ava and Faelan are in Aeron However I still enjoyed the book I also wish we got to see tension and a connection between Sorrin and Faryn but I definitely feel like we re going to get of that in the second book which is very exciting Content Enemies to Lovers Friends to Enemies Viking Celtic Influence Mythical Creatures Adventure Magic Self Discovefy Found Family Slow Burn Fantasy
