Fifteen years ago Zip and his partners were an elite clandestine Marine Corps fighting unit Then they were unfairly kicked out so they decided to use their skills to start a small but successful cocaine smuggling ring Now Zip is ready to retire His part of the operation has been to transport the drugs around the country assuming a lot of the risk He never touched the stuff he saved every penny and now he is finally ready to live the rest of his days in his east Tennessee mountain cabin with his high school sweetheart and his dog Richmond His partners have other plans Although always outwardly friendly to Zip they have some deep seated resentments They blame him for getting them all kicked out of the Corps They hate the fact that he was the leader then and they really despise how he set himself up as the leader of their operation now But most of all they have branched out into a very sinister side business one they know Zip would not approve of or allow So they have come up with a plan to make Zip go on one last run one he won t be returning from It s going to take all of Zip s skills and training to make it back alive His big problem is that he is going up against men who have the same skills and the same training But Zip s biggest problem is making sure none of this follows him back home The local sheriff a hard nosed lawman with a reputation for making the bad guys sort of disappear just happens to be the father of Zip s girlfriend and he s hated Zip every day since they first met Zip s Redemption
