4 Wow Another great book in the Catastrophe incoming series This one was one of my favs so far I am really enjoying the pace with these books I think this series is really finding it s footing The first in the series was really quick and smudged over some important stuff but since then It s really found itself as a series Especially this one There slowing down the pace which is awesome and easier to digest but still high stakes action and combat It doesn t sacrifice the story or characters which is greatI really liked in this one there is character switching That doesn t usually happen and I found it really fun since all the characters are awesome wren is my fav and so I liked jumping over to them and hearing what the other half of the gang was doing saying I LOVE even Ferdinand even got his time to shine in one of the interludes I think that personally this book out of the series was the most immersive I actually never wanted the fights scenes to end I m bias cuz I think Nightingale is great and interesting Usually invested in her even if I m not specifically routing for her haha I m just very excited for of these books to come The Labyrinth Beckons Catastrophe Incoming.

The Labyrinth Beckons is once again a very great book from Aimee The best part of this book was Lark and Nightingale s dynamic They re hilarious together and the longing is everything In the first book everything happened so fast and we didn t have much time to dive into their dynamic but as this one was a bit slower we got to see of them together We got glimpses of how they used to be and of their love and honestly They would ve been so powerful as a team of villains. The labyrinth book pdf I do think the rest fell a bit flat unfortunately especially the few chapters or interludes when we were following the other characters I just wanted to get back to Lark and Nightingale if I m honest As always the writing style is stunning and the atmosphere in the book is very interesting I can t wait to read The Labyrinth Beckons Catastrophe Incoming 4 After reading the first 3 books back to back in quick succession it has been a tough wait for the next one and i can easily say it was worth the wait The gang continues to be chasing after Nightingale and after a few misadventures they have finally caught up to her in a deadly labyrinth We are back to Lark s POV for this book mostly and it was great seeing the scenes between them and Nightingale the banter of old loves and the bitter harsh realities of current enemies made for a very fun read. Nightingale is back After being gone for the past few books we have a sighting of our main villain again But importantly this means that Lark is seeing her too And gosh do I enjoy the way these two interact There is so much history between them that every word said has so many extra layers A thank you is not simply two words it s a painful thing to say a hard thing to say But to say I hate you instead is just as impossible They re at this impasse where both hate and love doesn t feel right And gosh it makes for this delicious book where they interact from start to finish. The labyrinth beckons kindle edition The main event of this book is of course Nightingale I think she would enjoy being called an event And we really get to delve into Lark and Nightingale s relationship here both the bond and its fracture Every time Lark gets to voice a piece of their hurt or truth is painfully meaningful in light of their excruciating inability to talk unless they can make eye contact with the intended recipient They get a little bit of catharsis here a small sense of direction but no than a smidgeon and every word hurts. A guide to the labyrinth While the physical labyrinth is old and full of skeletons its creators long dead and its dangers mechanical I feel the eponymous beckoning labyrinth is really the inside of Lark s mind their perpetual tangents the complicated and devastating feelings they would rather pretend are simple I felt Lark s relief when the party reunite and return to the surface safe but bruised Their next objective fills me with apprehension I can t wait for the next book The Labyrinth Beckons Catastrophe Incoming 4 A labyrinth by nature is not a straightforward thing A labyrinth that contains one s murderous ex well AAAAAAAAAA BOOK 4 I truly love this series so much and every new book feels like going home Aimee s writing is so sure and confident and familiar and I absolutely adored getting to be back in Lark s POV particularly because we hadn t yet seen their internal monologue about Reverie eyes Also as the demisexual nonbinary nerd they are their POV always makes me an asexual nonbinary nerd feel so seen Look on the bright side Wren says She won t be expecting the goose This newest instalment is paced a little slower than previous ones and I absolutely adored it for that While there is still plenty of action and magic the real star here was the relationships between the characters but particularly between Lark and Nightingale Their friends to lovers to enemies who still love each other dynamic is so layered and rich and the titular Labyrinth completely forced proximitied them into examining their bond their history and the cataclysmic trajectory of their future The magic of the trials was such a great way to force these stubborn characters to confront their flaws in a way that moved them forward towards their goals and I thought it was such a clever way to a explore these relationships and b give us an insight into the magic of this world and what it cares about They ve lived to stumble through another day The slower pace of this volume allowed us to really sink into the world the characters and everything that has happened so far in the adventure It solidified what we ve learned deepened our understanding of the complex relationships at play and probably strengthened just about every possible ship I have no doubt that with the revelations of this book propelling them forward our heroes are about to get into so much trouble Content warnings from the start of the book depictions and descriptions of violence and blood frequent coarse language and non explicit sexual references The Labyrinth Beckons Catastrophe Incoming 4 thank you so much to the author for giving me an early copy maybe and i m thinking maybe this may be my fave in the series so far i mean besides the fact that MY WIFE NIGHTINGALE SHOWS UP AGAIN it deals with so much stuff Lark s doubt in what they believe what are their desires what they would do to end their pain urgh this is a real lovers to enemies and everything hurts but i m so happy they have Wren and Reverie by their side specially considering their banter and relationship which is getting better by the second i m just enjoying this series sooo much i adore the setting and how the world keeps on expanding the drama how long until October and the rest of the story The Labyrinth Beckons Catastrophe Incoming 4 So beyond grateful to get the chance to read another advanced copy of Catastrophe Incoming Being in this world feels so comforting despite the chaos and this trio has a soft spot in my heart With each new book we explore new locations and for this one we get a challenging labyrinth set to cause chaos from the start I will admit I did expect from the trials but the fact they were mental than physical challenges was an interesting concept Being back in Lark s POV felt perfect for this book and I did enjoy their scenes with Nightingale I most certainly didn t expect to be kicking my feet at some of their dialogue together or the touches here and there I love the struggle that we see Lark have between their heart and their head whenever Nightingale is near and this novella really brings that to the center With that said I did miss the other characters and while the interludes we got did add to what was going on elsewhere in the labyrinth I m looking forward to seeing them work together once I m definitely team Lark x Reverie x Wren I will be honest about the fact the lack of action did mean my excitement and interest weren t as strong as previous novellas I felt the amount of inner narrative drowned out some of the scenes and added to that lack of adventure Without spoiling there were a few thrilling scenes but as stated earlier I expected from the Labyrinth as a whole I m intrigued to see what s next to come in Lark s journey now we have a few answers and even questions The Labyrinth Beckons Catastrophe Incoming 4
