Incredibly entertaining short story My only recommendation is that the storyline could have been longer Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet Short novella A little too short given the story just started when it ended Disappointed Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet Wasn t really liking the characters Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet This short clean novella was a quick and chirpy read Think maybe expanding it a little bit would make the romance less rushed but over all enjoyed this Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet Short and sweetNice readFelt not much happened could have been longer as wanted to know what happens next in their relationship He fell in love hard for her damn Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet Risking it All For A Forever Helena was overwhelmed after she agreed to the marriage of convenience with Silas but things started settling down as they spent time together outside the office Their feelings for each other grew each day but they didn t have the courage to acknowledge it that is until Sikas s mistake sent Helena running and he was forced to declare his feeling This was a really entertaining short story that I managed to devour in an hour and still wanted Grab a copy of this book and you won t be disappointed. Silas and Helena s relationship starts with bickering and animosity making it a classic enemies to lovers tale Their gradual falling for each other especially Silas s change of heart is heartwarming and surprising The main conflict arises from their insecurities adding depth to the storyline. Stone s storytelling is captivating with characters that are engaging and relatable The novella is short and sweet making it a quick but satisfying read Fake Married to My Boss is a fun and enthralling romance that keeps you hooked until the very end Highly recommended for fans of light hearted romance with a twist Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet Short and sweet Enthralling while it lasted Helena hated her billionaire boss from Canada She fell into agreeing with him when the emigration agents called on him and questioned his status Acting as if engaged made love come true Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet First off I want to thank the author for providing me with a copy of this book to read and review Writing is a labor of love and it is not easy If it was easy everyone would do it. Please also note that my boss says that I over think romance books too much I tend to see a LOT of things that she doesn t even notice and she just looks at me and says You re over thinking it It s a ROMANCE So please take the following with a grain of salt This bookhad some editing issues that just threw me out of the story. 1 This book is supposed to take place in Los Angeles The MC H is Canadian the MC h wasraised in Chicago She s half Russian I think So The reason why this is important is because the language used by pretty much everyone in the book is English but it is not American English I think it would have been fine if the setting and the characters and where they were raised was introduced a lot sooner than it was in the book If they weren t raised in America it would make sense that they would use words and phrases that weren t used by American English speakers As it was the setting took too long to establish and you never felt like you were in LA not once so the setting could have really been Anywhere Earth and the backgrounds of the MCs was never delved into so it wasn t possible to tell what their English speaking background was It s fine if they aren t 100% American cowboy but the reader needs to know WHY. 2 Speaking of background this was a novella and it just jumps the reader straight into the MC H lying to the Immigration employee guyperson going to delve into HIM in a moment about marrying his secretary The MC h states a few times that she hates her boss but we don t see him treating her and others like garbage we aren t SHOWN it we are told it I think a few scenes leading up to the surprise we are getting married scene would have helped the reader to get to know the characters and felt something for the predicament rather than a shrug. 3 Now the WHOLE premise of this story is that the MC H ignored Immigration and so HAD to lie about getting married so he wouldn t be deported The dude is a BILLIONAIRE Do you know what billionaires have other than billions of dollars A whole SLEW of professionals including lawyers who deal with the things that need to be done but not by him HE is busy making billions THEY take care of pesky things like his immigrant visa Plus neither he nor his multitude of assistants and staff would ignore something from ANY Government particularly when it involved his status in the country he was staying in. I think a good place to start the novella would have been with the MC h and one of her friends who was part of the staff Seeing how they were treated badly by the MC H how the ladies bonded at work over how big of a jerk he was How the friend of the MC h decided she was going to pull a prank on him and intercept and circular file all of the letters from the Gov How she kind of hoped he would get deported so she wouldn t have to suffer under him any Maybe the ladies are at the MC h s tiny pathetic apartment because she isn t paid what she is worth place and they are drinking wine and the work friend confesses and she laughs along with her and she DOESN T SAY ANYTHING to the MC H or his other employees to warn him Maybe she drank too much and doesn t fully remember or thinks it was just a dream or something she made up or maybe she secretly hope he gets deported too THEN when the MC h finds out about the MC H about to be deported she feels guilty for not saying anything so when we meet in the office with the immigration official THAT S why she agrees with the fake engagement because she feels responsible for the situation that she could have warned him about Now doesn t that create some drama Some building of the MC h AND a secondary character who could then have a spin off romance just saying Give an actual REASON why a billionaire with a huge staff would not know about the letters from the US Gov Give an actual reason why the MC h went along with his really weird plan 4 And that immigration official I m sorry but on WHAT planet does a 9 5 desk jockey immigration official have SATURDAY office hours Do you think ANY Government employee wants to work on a Saturday And this guy is LOW on the totem pole There is no WAY he would be harassing a BILLIONAIRE without a LOT of clout behind him You know what the billionaire has Friends who are Senators Governors etc People MUCH higher than a lowly paid immigration employee You know what that immigration official has A LOT of crow and humble pie to eat after the garbage he pulled He just went to the billionaire s home to check and see if he and the fiancee really WERE engaged Say WHUT First of all NO butler worth his salt would let a random person in to just wander the mansion until they met up with the owner They would lead him to the appropriate waiting place and confirm if the master wanted to meet with him or not Most likely if he had no appointment he would have been told that the master was not in and all he would see would be the front door Heck he probably wouldn t have been let inside the gate at least not without the billionaire knowing it and one of his entourage dealing with him. This novella would have benefitted from being longer and having character development before the big we re really engaged scene That scene should have been bigger Had emotion to it for the reader then it did It s not bad it just needed 2 this story has good bones but it needs some meat on it stars Fake Married to my Boss An Enemies to Lovers Off Limits Romance Sweet
